Spend a day in Portland. You'll find use.

Yes, it can be carried openly, but soem of the granola-eating Portlanders who flock to the trails can get freaked out over a semi-auto Uzi, and I'd prefer to not attract attention to myself. i can carry it between a backpack and my back, and deploy it pretty quickly. I have a couple of other carbines that can be used quickly, but I've found the Uzi to be the best for quick handling.

Sounds nice. I have a British Artex vest that I like to use. Lots of pockets and an inside holster built in for a pistol. I bought it from East Scout.

The vest I like to use on occasion.

I wish i had a good knife i could carry again, because since i moved to chicago which has a carry limit of 2.5 inch blade length it's hard finding a good pocket knife that is of that size.
Wish it was 3 inches max like the rest of the state because thats pretty easy to work with.

Dude consider yourself lucky. We can't carry anything legally in Australia.

Yeah, a vest with a full-size pistol and mags hidden in the front makes the beer belly look about 20 pounds heavier.

Good to see that you are showing your kid the great outdoors. Handsome little guy.

This is why it got crossed off my 'countries where I might retire' list. Next, the government is going to require that you register and tattoo a serial number on your pecker.

Lol wouldn't surprise me. The laws aren't so bad if live here, but moving here form the US would be quite a shock.

I'd like to say the beer belly has gotten smaller, but I'd be lying.
That pic was taken when I was 40. I'm 45 now, and it's gotten worse, despite every new year's resolution......

Heresy, i know, but perhaps the solution to the beer belly 'issue' could be, less beer?

What is more important; losing some weight, or keeping your sanity?

I am pretty sure if humans dont ingest a six-pack a day, we die...

Oregon looks so beautiful, I've wanted to move there since I was 13. I love the nature out there. Michigan has some pretty good hiking, always wanted to go on a hike long enough where I might need a gun, but my concern is more bears. So I'd need something bigger than an uzi.

That is why I carry the 10mm Glock. Loaded with Double Tap rounds, it will put out a 200 grain Hornady XTP controlled expansion hollowpoint at nearly 1200 fps. That is pretty close to the same ballistics as a .41 mag factory load. A good remedy for a pissed-off black bear.

I have a Maxpedition Falcon II backpack that I carry every day either to work or while hiking.

I also have the Maxpedition Proteus versipack that can either be carried by a handle or worn like a man purse around the waist. It can hold either my Sig P238 or my 1911. Too lazy at the moment to snap some photos.

Indeed, 9mm leaves something to be desired, even with the +p hollowpoints I load in my mags. I recently acquired a Marlin .45-70 Guidegun which makes a nice trail carbine, but the Uzi is better to conceal behind my Maxpetition Gearslinger and deploy quickly. I'd love to have one of the semi-auto Uzis in .45 ACP.

    My daughter, with the Guidegun.
