buying airsoft

I've been looking into getting either a Sig 552 AEG or the G36c off http://www.wgcshop.com/ have any other US residents purchased from them before? I'm looking at getting one of the AEG starter kits (batter + charger) as it's less hassel on my end. Anyone know if this is a good, easy place to deal with, quality service etc.... ?

First of all, I would not recommend the SIG 552 (I have a friend that has one) unless you REALLY had to have it strictly for CQB. Too much plastic, finicky fire selection, among other things. I use to own a G36C and it is one of the best AEGs you can buy in my opinion--a good choice!

Thanks, that's what I local airsofter mentioned to me as well... but that's cool b/c I really like the look of the G36c.

WGC has great service. I would highly recommend them. Only thing is if you email them, don't expect to get an entire answer back---seems they give out more gibberish than exact answers.........

I also recommend Uncompany. I have used them probably 10 times and have had no issues. They have a great selection as well and ship as fast if not faster than WGC with express shipping. Only thing, don't expect to even get a reply if you email them, hehe.........

Thanks, WGC appeals b/c of it's starter packages (coupled w/ a fair price) so now I just gotta pick myself out some gear, vest/harness, headgear, etc... and don't forget some extra mags


Btw, any chance TM or CA or someone, anyone, is working on an MP7 airsoft ?

I had quite a bad incident with WGC. I ordered a gun and never recieved it. They never even shipped it. Then they wouldnt return my money. This went on for nearly a year. I would try to email them but they would not respond. It took them at least a year just to refund my money. Very frustrating. But, i dont think that happens very often.

WGC is my first HK based airsoft retailer of choice. I've ordered from them a lot. Let me say though that I've never ordered any replicas from them, just parts, accessories, and gear.

Shipping has ranged from $15 - $35. Usually it takes a good 7 days to arrive.

WGC has also stood behind the products they sell. I ordered a G&P rail for my WA SVI. I ordered the right one according to WGC, but when I put it on, it was too big. I contacted them and they informed me that they had inacurately described the part and would exchange it. I only need to send it back to them. The whole exchange only cost 3 days and about a week and a half of time.

Furthermore, I contacted them to sponsor one of the events I put on. Without hesitation, they sent me out a $200 gift certificate to raffle off.

WGC, is a good retailer in my book and I'll be sure order from them again.

I've used WGC several times with good results, but that was over 6 months ago. I have read several bad stories about them since they moved to a larger warehouse. I've also used Redwolf with great results. I would, however, recommend purchasing from in the US. The prices may seem more, but don't forget that shipping an AEG alone to the US from HK will run you an additional $50+ vs. $20 in the US. Also, customs have been getting tougher with confiscation of guns that they feel have insufficient trademark covering - even good putty. Plus, service is usually better from good US retailers, especially followup service. I like Airsoft Extreme and Generation Airsoft, but there are others.

If reloading in the same as a standard Ak-47, I don't know that I want to deal with it. Rapidly changing clips I've had poor experiances getting it jammed at a near parallel angle to the gun and have had to disassemble the weapon just to remove it. But thanks for the tip, I'll look in to it. I'm also a lefty so ambidexterous weapons certainly have appeal
