I was on board when this photo was taken..
I admire the seal of the USS Texas..USS Hanco*k (CVA-19) off San Diego, California, 11 February 1975, shortly before beginning her final deployment to the western Pacific. There are twelve A-4 "Skyhawk" attack planes and one SH-3 helicopter on her flight deck.

One of the biggest design mistakes (along with her sister ship USS SOUTH CAROLINA) that the USN ever put out to sea. 2xMk13 launchers? What a waste!

McInerney is preparing for an upcoming counter-illicit trafficking deployment to Latin America, where the ship is scheduled to use Fire Scout to assist with counter-drug operations.

^^^^McInerney always gets all the cushy fun test duty and rarely has to do the LEOPS/patrolling/deployment crap.
USS KITTY HAWK, at sea - A U.S. Air Force B-52 leads a formation of Air Force and Navy F-16, F-15, and F-18 aircraft over the USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), USS Nimitz, and USS John C.
