Lao, just for the sake of discussion in our Z infested world, I agree to a point that the LEO types should be picking up better weapons and ammo, but I also echo the thoughts wildheart have, that is just because they are LEO's doesn't mean they have had anymore training or use on them than any of the civvies. Same goes for all the Mil type vehicles, which we know are a pain in the arse to maintain in garrison, especially tracked sorts, let alone a apocalyptic scenario. Heck, they can't keep a RV going But, having said that, I would be all over the Mil crap laying around because I am familiar with it.

And, just saw this on the shows ratings..

My daughter even commented on this and she is a kid. I still think the writers are women who have no real life experiences in LEO, guns or men. I also think most teenage gamers would do better.

That makes sense considering all the drama.

My friends and I were talking about this last night. I told them I wouldn't go for a Humvee or any gas guzzling vehicle. I'll look for a Hyundai Sonata and just weld expanding metal over the windows. Lol.

Sure it can. I've personally spent many a night sleeping/living in humvees, and not one of those snazzy FLAs either, but the kevlar turtlebacks and uparmored ones too.

Well when you put it like that you can sleep in almost any vehicle. I meant living quarters more in the sense of it has an actual bed and bathroom. Maybe even a sink , stove and other common things you'd find in a house.

I have the "luxury" of living right outside of Ft Hood, and work at Fort Polk ( long story, and lots of windshield time, lol), so depending on which I am at the time, I am either going for the MRAPS and Uparmored Hummers parked about 100m away from me, or the Strykers which are soon going to replace the "Armored" aspect of the 3rd ACR soon. Secure, combat lockable doors on some, high enough off the ground with others, wheeled , diesel instead of gas which will be sucked dry from all the townies and city folks clogging the roads, heavy enough to plow through crowds and traffic. Can mount crew served weapons, etc.. If not any of those, then a semi or some sort of heavy utility truck that sits high off the ground, not easy to push over and has the weight to again plow through traffic, wheeled and pedestrian

I'll take survivability over comfort anyday. Especially in zombie infested lands, lol.

A monster truck should just be fine, it seems zombies lost the ability to climb. What is important is to remove the glass, and have enough engine power to plough through a a horde of zombies in case you are surrounded

I would go with big ass SUV with a snow plow on it, like the kind that bend in the middle. Or a large truck with a cap.

Well I would do my best to get as far away from the zombie infested lands as possible. But then again I'm sure if the zompocalypse hit I'd probably be dead in about 2-3 hours tops since I have the survival skills of blind pig.

they all do, the typical zombie apocalyps heroes are somewhere else at the outbrake so they survive the first wave of zombies

I would take a step further and go with the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle.
