So far what Darabont has added hasn't messed things up. I also understand its for pacing, the comic is pretty slow compared to this and the show probably wouldn't work out at a similar pace. I hope he ties-in the gang in the previews properly come next episode. Love throwing the Science Dog shirt in the series as well (For fans of Kirkman and Invincible)
all i know is (Kinda spoiler): If the zombies come and my girlfriend were to think i was dead for months on end, im gonna assume shes done her crying and moved on...to hump someone else :/
Honestly, Lori stirred a lot of **** intentional or not. Shane didn't know how to let go and she added to the rift between best friends. I am hoping Darabont fleshes out that part of her personality more. seraosha IIRC is another regular reader and knows the story up to this point like me, so it could take a little while before more stuff can be discussed without being spoilers. Kirkman excels at setting up familiar situations but always reminding everyone that they still live in a world of the undead. Those situations can spin out of control under normal conditions, add on top of that the day to day surviving/dangers in the series and it tends to be something else entirely. He doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel, he just keeps is consistent and familiar.
More than other comic based media, its important to keep in that vein because it is at the very heart of the series. Its not just something that can be substituted or drowned out for TV sake.
dont torrent the comics for christ sakes..go to a comic store or book store and pick up the many trade paperbacks( they are easy to find now). Jesus Randir..people need to make a living even if its inconvient for you.
Btw.. i work in the comic industry so not cool. If you dont have a local book store or comic store then just find it on amazon or many other places...have a little heart. It may be entertainment to you and disposobale buth to me and others its a how we make a living ..or dont based on sales. Ok rant off.. btw the show is living up to what i wanted as a fan of the book.
Indeed... I am starting to hate Lori...
But I wonder if the scenario will be changed concerning Shane.
Very good ending none the less.
I'm honestly surprised at the depth that the love triangle has hit already...Shane told Lori Rick was dead, point blank. So that kind of puts it back on Shane, and his wanting his "Best Friends" wife, but whats kicking me in the ass right now is the uncertainity of exactly how long Rick was in the hospital vs how long the zombies have been running around. If it was a few weeks, then Lori is scum. If it was more than a couple months...she's still scum, but more sympathetic.
I'm liking the additional characters and their arcs...Merles' solution to being handcuffed on the roof was expected, but still a nice grisly surprise that the tv show went there.
i whas thinkign the guy woud saw the rusty threaded bar he whas cuffed to. and where did he/the zombies go?
It could do without the crappy soap opera BS in my opinion.
No reason for a damn love triangle. What next, a Joan Collins cameo?
I give it 10 points out of 10 for being a great zombie show.
I liked the first 2 episodes, i have not seen the 3th. But if they turn this thing in an emo love story i'm going to be pissed.
