What I don't get about these apocalyptic shows is how inept the people are. I would think that if I was in a similar situation as these wayward individuals, everyone would be outfitted with an m4 with a suppressor, LBV, backup pistol. with a secondary shotgun. Everything they do doesn't make sense. When they went through Atlanta, how many military vehicles did they pass that had full equipment in them. I would ditch the motor home for an MRAP..get to an armory and load up with medical kits, NVG, food, etc. Stupid writers .....you would think they would read some survival website and get the idea of how life would operate.
I was thinking the same thing. A small group of survivors in the AMERICAN DEEP SOUTH, and they can't find enough firearms to go around?
Zombie body count for the hour of Episode 1 was 4, I think.
Needs less of this
Moar of this
Don't see it happening, the source material just isn't like that and that is why it is interesting. Execution for live action might just not work with this. There are some big zombie battles but Kirkman makes sure to always wrap the humanistic element carefully into most of them.
Not sure what to make of what happened to the kid. It seems a little excessive in retrospect.
Seems like a basic setup, kid goes missing and you get a more clear sense of the survival instincts & possible dissension of people in the group. Dale mentions his personal confliction of the needs of the many vs few and vice versa, which is pretty much at the center of the whole thing or at least is supposed to be.
