I like "tv shane", compared to "comic book shane".

TV Shane, so far, looks like a guy that made a mistake, then made a bigger one, and is now trying to find a way to make it right...I'll give him the benefit of doubt, because looking at his behavior since Rick got back (with the exception of the shower scene...come on, rapists are sympatheitc characters if they are drunk, right? ), he seems to be pretty torn up about the whole thing.

"comic book shane" was more like a honey badger, imo.

i dont know.. the woods scene with the shotgun to Ricks back kinda screamed mentally unstable to me.

trying to do the right thing. sure. im just not convinced "TV Shane" knows what that really is anymore.

Dale's look after he caught him kinda says it all to me.
Nah man. im conviced he'll screw up and get people killed. or just kill them himselves down the line.
right now he's love triangle fodder to keep the housewives tuning in.

Sweet! Even with all the drama involved, I still like the series and this is good news.

Honestly, I don't know why everyone's so negative. The only way you'll end up completely bored is if you go in expecting nothing but an hour of zombie slaying. The acting is mostly very strong in my opinion (not sure where people are getting their "weak acting" comments from). Yes, it's melodramatic at times, but the show is about the characters and how they're reacting to the stress of having their world turned upside down and undead bodies eat most of their friends and family. The biggest problem I run in to while watching is the frustration of the characters making mistakes easily seen by the audience or acting childish/stupid, but let's be honest, that's a staple of virtually every zombie story.

My advice is to give it a watch. Especially if you base your expectations on the comments you see here, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

i'd really hate for this show to fizzle out after 2 seasons.

@Ratamacue: Sound advice there, many thanks. One reason to stick to the comic side of things is that I don't have access to the series as I don't download stuff from net etc so have to wait for it to appear on telly here or to buy it.

I'm a zombie fanboi, so my opinion is always suspect in these things...but Ratamacue said it very well.
I don't understand all the hate towards the show.

I don't hate the show, I don't care for soap operas, never have. Besides I watch very little TV. I do like Zombie movies. As a Zombie movie, it is a C or D movie. The penguin zombie short was excellent. There are also some really good Zombie movies out there.

WD is a Cliche', heck even the name, that belongs to B 1/9.

Have you seen 'Le Horde' yet? It is by far the best zombie flick I've seen since the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" by z. snyder

Well considering the differences from the comic, im suspecting Ft. Benning to be THAT place . That is, if they dont divert anymore.
