His handler then rushed to rescue his dog from more harm and arrest the perp but was also stabbed in the face. The perp was arrested by arriving reinforcements.

So I wondered if you could include Miagi and his handler in your christmas prayers. Thanks in advance guys and a very merry christmas to you.
Sorry to hear that... hope they both will be ok.

Yup, she lost 20% of sight and still was the best. This was to be her last tour before retiring.

Bomb sniffing dogs are seen frequently throughout the day at the rink. This dog officer made the rounds during Team USA's morning skate.

Hope it's not a repost, I don't think I have seen this here

Bodie, a Sacramento police dog, recovers at the Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in Rancho Cordova after being shot once in the leg and twice in the jaw on May 18, 2012, during the pursuit of a suspected car thief in the Land Park neighborhood. Bodie is on the mend and may return to duty in early 2013. The Sacramento Bee / Autumn Cruz

found also the current update on Bodie's conditions from Sacramento Police :

Bodie Update!! Photo of Bodie taking on the x-ray table. Bodie went to VCA to see Dr Runyan today and for the first time in over 7 months he walked out of the building with no cast or wrap on his leg!!! The x-rays show his toes are strong enough to start rehab and continue to heal without any support from a splint! We did some physical therapy on an underwater treadmill for a little bit and then used a theraputic laser on his paw in several places. The laser is a low level class 3B "cold laser" and assists with healing and pain control. We plan on about a month or so of physical rehab and then back into police training for another couple months to get him back into a crime fighting level! Everything will be done at Bodie's speed and he won't be rushed. Bodie has had his wrap off his leg for the past several hours and is doing great!!!

A very sad day today An austrian suspect did not stop at a police traffic check and tried to run away. After a long chase he crashed his car into another police car and killed the two dogs on board. Two cops were also wounded. RIP
