A police dog handler stands in front of the Lycee Biaggio in Lille during a demonstration against French government's pensions reform on october 19, 2010. French workers and students took to the streets once again Today to defend their right to retire at 60, with youths battling police, petrol stations running dry and many flights cancelled.

strange to see a combat dog handler with M16A4 - IDF handlers always use short barreled M4 commando (similar to Mk18), after it was found that even M16 carbine are too long for mutual activity (most complaints regarded gun barrels hitting dog's back while in pursuit).

A US Army soldier trains an attack dog at Camp FOB Wilson in Zari district in southern Kandahar province on October 21, 2010. More than 150,000 US and international troops are now in Afghanistan, with their number boosted by the 30,000 strong-surge strategy which US President Obama announced in 2009 and which is now reaching its peak.

The GSD has had it's bite grip measured at an average of 750 foot pounds per square inch. For comparison a human only has 300 foot pounds per square inch of bite pressure. Then take into account their canine teeth...ouch is right.

It does very much look like some of the early Eagle dog vests, the way the handle is positioned, and the hardware type/location is same. it looks like they got some ideas from Eagle CAV. It also looks a little cockeyed, maybe there is some kind of asymmetrical adjustment across the top.

I never see this early versions, so I've no idea. But the handhold and the shackle (like on the riggerbelts) looks vers interesting.

The adjustment on the top looks like the solution to fit different dogsizes. CAV is the shortcut for??

I searched for detailed information of EI-stuff, but I found nothing. Does somebody have links to detailed informations and pictures? Still searching some for my RR and this one lloks very interesting because it could be expanded to the hip/hind legs, which make roping possible.

Members of the Turkish police special unit handle a trained dog as they "arrest" a man during an anti-terror drill as part of a security exercise at the Izmir port in the Aegean port city of Izmir, western Turkey, October 25, 2010.
