me last week, dont know the english word for it, but its like iceskates but longer and with a loose heel

If it is "långfärdskridskor" i think the English word is trip skates, im not sure on it though.

Skates with a hinge at the heel?
If so these were invented by the Dutch to improve on speed skating (the hinge lets the blade stay on the ice through the movement)

yea, its långfärdsskridskor, clap skates...much better then normal skates...i have course right now that requiers that i skate clap skates on thin ice so i can fall down :P
