i never got luck to destroy a ammo rack, and i think only 2 time i manage to set a tank in fire and the fire destroy the ammo rack, most times i aim for the body and not the turret, the only thing that is making me mad is the lag on the servers, is making get piss off with some shots that i miss

The 88 is a great gun.

Had an awesome game earlier. One of the dead players watching commented "I want a vk3002db now!". It was on Murovanka and for some reason none of my team went through the woods at the start and they met the enemy head on in the village. I zoomed through the woods and came up behind the enemy and took out 7 of them including 2 of their arty camping on the hill. I barely stopped to take aim.

I had one of those games as well - when I still had the 100mm on my IS - most of my team were dead - a tiger on my team was pushing back the defense around the enemy flag and I was picking them off from a distance - I chewed through a KV-3 and some other decent tanks when someone was all like "Is that a 100mm gun? wow I want an IS"... I didn't want to spoil the mood by saying that both the IS as well as the 100mm weren't all that special and that the kills were all thanks to the Tiger distracting them

The 88 is really a great gun the only problem is that u do only 10% of damage in tanks like the King tiger ou IS-4, but u still can bite the maus shooting in the back of him, i have a tiger and i never saw a tank that i could bite with the last 88 gun, the only problem is the damn reload if u got ur loader down or ammo rack damage u are really doomed to reload.

The reload time is pretty fast though.
when you get your ammo or loader blown up, you're just as much in trouble with a gun which makes more damage but reloads even slower.
It's a matter of play style I'd say.
with slow reloading guns the best way is to shoot from long distance or from behind cover because you're defenseless for quite a while after you shoot.
With a fast reloading gun you can be more aggressive and can better defend yourself against a rushing horde of medium and light tanks.

World of Tanks has made me go to the tank Museum in Munster which is over 200Km away from where I live
Seeing some of the tanks outside of games and pictures - in full size - is really impressive.
I was expecting them to be big, but I was still quite surprised - I've underestimated their size.

here a picture of one of the WW2 highlights in the museum for me - the Jagdpanther - I thought it would be much smaller - the picture doesn't really show it's real size, but when you stand right in front of it, it's really damn huge.
You can spot two deflections and one penetration in it's frontal armor. (deflected two British 70-something mm and was penetrated by a 40-something or 50-somethimg mm - don't remember exactly anymore)


The Panther tank has also surprised me with it's gigantic size.
Su-100 and Tiger II on the other hands were smaller than I expected after seeing the size of Panther and Jagdpanther.

Nice! Yeah I saw a docu once and a fairly substantial sized guy was presenting it and standing infront of various tanks. Even the Hetzer looked big.

Yeah - there was a Hetzer in this museum also - but I wasn't paying much attention to it since there was a freaking huge wall of steel called the Jagdpanther behind it

My surprise started with the Panzer3 - it was much broader than I expected:


but then there was the Panther standing around the corner and it blew me away when I've first seen it.
