Had another couple of hours on the game today. Getting better. Had a few rounds where I got 3 kills minimum including on KV-2. Learned how to bring down those giants. Need some more credits before I can get the big gun on my T-28. Bought the A-20 and so far it's meh. Just want to get through it so I can get the T-34.

This branch of the Russian tree is a horrible grind and will take ages. I only have the T-34-85 so far and still 30k left until I can research the T-43.

You guys still have the 5x experience deal? On the US server it ended Sunday. I made mad XP - enough to get a Pershing and kit it out.

For the EU servers the day ends at 2:00 a.m. next day (were I live) so it was tuesday already.

/edit: But that doesn't explains the "17. April" right? Seems we got the bonus on monday, too.

I have both AMX-50B and Batchat, amazing machines. Just remember to support heavies with them and dont rush too much

I'm pretty shocked, some people use it as a leading tank, not realising it has a very poor armour. I remember playing the Arctic map and there were 5 BatChats in our team. We were deployed in the southwestern corner and the Bats made up a big team. All of them began "lollig" and taking a piss out of the opponent team, being overconfident about themselves. They started rushing along the northern road and were mercilessly phucked by high tier heavies and artillery. The opponent heavies were using something like defence in depth so if the Bats passed 1 or 2 tanks, they were still in front of other opponent tanks with their side or rear armour facing the opponents.

Anyway, I will be able to research the IS-7 after a few days. However, I have just 2.1 mln credits. I wanted to buy the Lorraine as I'm very close to it.
My friend suggested me buying the KV-3 as I'll get a free new tank if I do it. As the IS-4 is going to the other branch, I will not be able to research the IS-7 quickly if I don't do it before the new patch.

Actually it's good. I agree A-20 is shyte but:
T-34 with 57mm ZIS - I highly recommend it. Great gun, IMO best for T-34, very high rate of fire.
T-34-85 - I played with 100mm D10T, good gun but the thing that annoys me the most is slow aiming.
KV-13 - I went for this tank instead of T-43 (because it opens path to heavies also). Now this tank is fun to play. It's fast, has good armour, but a bit underpowered for T7 tank (85mm gun). That thing can take a beating. It's definitely a keeper.

Now I'm playing T-43. It's like T-34-85 with more armour.

When are expecting the 7.3 update? I'm currntly stuck on both the French branches, guess I'm not using them right, still holding the IS3 so I can immediatly unlock the IS7 when they change the soviet tree

Mid/late May is what I've seen.

Having KV with researched turret, KV-3 or IS-4 in your garage gives you an extra tank each.

I recently started playing again, and after reading a little about on the WoT forums I feared the French tanks would be all dominating in the game. Haven't seen much of it as most of the players seems to just rush forward like idiots, even in the French heavy tanks. Seems to be a common theme amongst the players with fast tanks though, scouts rush off too early, and the mediums are too far ahead to get any assistance when they run straight into the frontline of the enemy.

I think 0.7.3 will be out 9th May or something, since it's a Victory Day (Nazi's capitulation) for Russians and the patch is kinda "Soviet" by content. Same date should be for US/EU since there is no changes to engine/UI expected, just tanks and two maps.

I personally don't play Soviet tanks (except arties), but they are more trouble for me as opponents, so I thought that grinding them should be easy.

T-150 I think. I may be wrong, wasn't interested in the first place.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it goes like this;
KV(with researched turret)->KV-1+KV-2
KV-3->KV-3(T7)+T-150
IS-4->IS-4(T10)+IS-8

I was a bit fed up with BF3 recently so I've installed WOT game client. My xbox is covered with dust now. Sweet Jesus. First decent tank game since Panzer Elite. Although I have some tier IV and III tanks in garage, PzKpfw II remains my favourite. Not the fastest and most armored, but can rape almost every tier I and II tank fith it's 2cm flak (only medium to short distances though).

Kind of a breaking news.
New camo system will be implemented soon (ETA - summer), so that on each tank a user could buy and assign up to three (possibly four) different camo patterns to match the map's theme - forest, desert, arctic and maybe city/ruins. The matching is automatic, if the user decided to keep only "forest" camo then it will be shown only on "forest" maps. The camo itself will give 5% bonus to stealth, and prices/time of use remains unchanged from current live servers (as of yet).

The miniscule bonus but yet it feels as a must to get for anyone serious enough to win, and now sold in triples per tank
