Default US and British Flags burned outside US Embassy in London

Note especially 2:10 onwards. Apparantly we indiscriminately use nuclear bombs...

If possible(unlikely I know) I'd like to avoid a flame war here (which will just result in bans and a thread closure) and see thoughts on how we can avoid/lessen the number attending such further demonstrations/prevent such rediculous claims being made and what kind of sanctions should be taken on those promoting extremism.

There is no way to lessen or avoid such demonstrations, like moths to a flame, they will be there for anything.

What I'd give to be there with a pork-slinging slingshot. I'd bring Alby with me.

This is new? Sorry I was of the understanding it was an every day event. "Apparently we indiscriminately use nuclear bombs" . I recall when the ammo dump went up in Saigon, ever crazy nation in the world was making the clam we used nukes. Seem like every time they see a dust cloud in the sky from an explosion it has to be the US using nukes (even if we are not even around).

I do like the bit about " indiscriminately". IMOPO that gives us a free hand to use them in a discriminatory way. Funny thing is we have a very nasty bit that is legal to use, but the last two administrations will not allow its use.

Deliberate provocation is a recruitment device. The minds behind this want racist groups to persecute innocent Muslims. It adds fuel to the fire. Ordinary people become radicalised on both sides. In the words of Admiral Akbar; "It's a trap!"
Someone on youtube actually made a half decent point. This is amazing.

So you don't agree with the guy who wants to kill them all and just settle the problem once and for all?

    All Muslims? No
All extremists? Not realistic. And trying would just inspire more of them.

Well, to be honest, considering it was youtube I just assumed someone said that...didn't actually find out for myself.

    Hate breeds hate

These kinds of things make you either more moderate or more extreme and can be used to seduce the impressionable and the naive to a cause

I wonder if an increase in domestic flag burning will finally help the Flag desecration amendment get passed in the US.
It missed last time by only one vote.

Why settle for picking shots when you can plummel wholesale with a trebuchet?

    ....................................

With that said, that ****er should be glad flag burning is tolerated, in any other lesser country he would be surrounded by an angry mob and stoned to death.

As for myself, I hate these people, but not the majority of Muslims, who I believe have no animosity against us.
