An interesting point-
I remember that when the Chinese embassy in Belgrade accidentally got bombed in the 90s, my friend told me that when he was in Beijing a policeman was actually directing people to where the American embassy was and encouraging them to protest there, throw bricks, etc.

if my embassy got bombed by accident and a few killed, I'd probably have the same feelings. It's almost an act of war to have a cruise missile slam into your embassy. Bottom line is, China has a no nonsense approach when it comes to radicals.

If I am correct, that is the Shahada, i.e. the declaration of faith ("There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his Prophet", etc etc)
