Sure you can. It's like Sweden in the -02 Olympics when we got kicked out of the tournament by Belarus(!). Huuuge WTF moment in my life. Swedes still speak of that day with horror and disgrace. Seriously!
Finland has a fair chance of beating Russia... Even if Russia has a better team.
As for Sweden, the one nation that we usually have problems with... losing in overtime etc. is out now. Normally I would we hopeful of going all the way at this point, however our team doesn't look that solid, lots of youngsters who I have no clue who they are. Unfortunately I think they will lose in either the semi-final or in the final..
How about -03. From 5-1 to 5-6. I still remember news papers after that game with black and white Finnish flag @ front page. BUT -95 NEVER FORGET!!!
Agreed, Breerman. I know of most of the players in the Swedish team and there's alot of talent in the team. But there's a lot of young guys and the Czechs look pretty damn solid this year so I'm not very hopeful. But then again, it's hockey! In one game eliminations it's not always the best team that wins so anything if up for grabs now.
And quite frankly, I'm sort of schizo about our team this year. I would really love it if we won but at the same time I don't ever want to see Richard Wallin raise another trophy. Let alone as a Captain for a Swedish National Team!
