Edmonton has all those young first rounders, when will it start paying off?
Free agency is off to a slow start. The few good players out there are probably loving the fight to give them money.
While not really NHL news, I figured this would be the appropriate thread.
Tomorrow morning, Im going to my first ever stick time. It will be my first time playing ice hockey; even though Im a huge fan of the sport and I played street hockey as a kid, and a little roller hockey recently. I am going into it not knowing what to expect. Im not going with any buddies or anything so this is a little bit uncharted waters so-to-speak. I cant wait. Its defiantly a dream come true.
Had the same experience a few weeks ago! It's a blast.
Had a ton of fun, just stick handling and shooting on net. Didnt even fall down! Though I did embarrass myself once when everyone was shooting on a goalie that was there. When I got up the guts to try, it came my turn, and I completely lost the puck right after I crossed the blue line. Oh well... im a n00b.![]()
Man I miss pick up games. In Winter in my hometown there is a public sheet of ice in open air. Everyone used to put the stick in the middle, one guy would toss them into two piles, and wherever yours landed, tjhat was your team. Two park benches were combination zambone and goal. Now I live in a **** ass drought ridden plain infested with scorpions and rattlesnakes but that's life.

Huge gamble on the part of The Wild. If it pays off they will be a force. If one of them gets injured...or slumps, they will have little cap left cover their depth. And forget about trading. Anyways, something to get the Twin Cities excited.
This guy wants to come back and play too.

Sigh...
Oh well. Develop some new ones Nashville, let's do it.
Congrats to Suter. Big time contract.
Seems like every 20 years or so, MN gets a REAL professional sports team. Guess it's hockey's time. Hope it works out for everyone.
Spending nearly $200 million on two players just seems ridiculous. Zach may be worth his contract but not Suter.
