Hawks vs Canucks on Wednesday, Round 3 begins, and this time Vancouver are heavy favorites.

Seeing as usmc29 failed to capitalize the word "Canuck" I will now start insulting every marine in this thread, serving or prior service, by using lower case for usmc.
    That is all.

What do you think about the "intent to blow the whistle" rule? Michigan got boned (per this stupid rule) out of that goal in the first period. Why can't they just rely on video replay to tell if the puck was simply in the goal prior to the whistle being blown instead of guessing when the ref "wanted" to stop play?

I hate it. Not just for college hockey but for the NHL too.
In my opinion if the puck is in the net before the whistle touches the lips, it should count as a goal.

I think it was pretty stupid to be honest. Like you said, they have Instant Replay, why not just use that, instead of speculation?

Yeah -- very stupid rule. And believe me, I would've not been happy if the opponent got hurt by the same rule. It's a sham. Now it's two years in a row in the NCAA's that Michigan has gotten hurt because of a premature whistle (Mich v. Miami in regional final last year).

2-buzz Canucks over Chicago for a series opener.
Good result but the hawks are dangerous as hell.
Best part about it (for me, at least) was Luongo's cool, confident and technically proficient goaltending combined with a couple posts and some ****house luck.
Edler was great, Canucks took a couple of penalties in stride, Kesler looked good, they covered their mistakes well, Bieksa looked good.... honestly, not much to complain about.
    Whew.... 15 more to go

That game was about what I expected. Vancouver are much deeper than the Hawks this year and unless Luongo really chokes, they should go through. Of course it's the playoffs and anything can happen. The Hawks will have to pick up the intensity and guys like Bickell and Dowell will need to get more involved physically as it didn't seem like much of a playoff game.

The surprising result to me was Nashville 4 - 1 Anaheim. That one wasn't even competitive. The Ducks' one goal came from a 5 on 3 with the game basically over.

Damn Caps - Rangers game...if Washington would have won in the first 60 minutes, would have won over 100€...oh well.

    So Boston goes down 2.
Bobby Ryan suspended two games for stomping on Johnathan Blum's foot.
