Awesome game.
Flyers have gotten away with a couple penalties.
Under 6 minutes and the Flyers need to scramble. This has a good shot at going to OT
edit: Flyers fall in game one. Wow, what a joke of a stanley cup game hahaha. Both teams SUCKED defensively but they looked evenly matched. That game was a toss up, but the Hawks got that go-ahead goal off of a bad play by Boucher by challenging. Get em next time.

Goals do not = entertainment. The way the game is played and how much energy and ferocity the teams are playing with is what deterimines how exciting a game will be. It also heavily depends on what is at stake. Anyways it was a decent game I liked the hitting and aggressiveness both teams showed however as already said the defense was pretty terrible leading to many awful turnovers. All 3 goalies were very average. I want to see some bad blood develop here.
That game was ridiculous.
Game 1 vs San Jose no PP's for the Hawks and five for the Sharks.
Game 1 vs Philly no PP's for the Hawks and four for the Flyers.
Both games were Hawks wins.
And yes, there were some blatant no-calls against the Flyers. Several interference no-calls were obvious. Richards' high stick on Seabrook was a no-brainer. No clue how that was not called. Glad the Hawks found a way to win despite the officiating, again.
Sadly for the Flyers, I think this was their chance to steal one and they couldn't get it done. It will likely come back to haunt them as the Hawks settle into the series.
Man that game was awesome, and I have to disagree with you meatwad, goals=entertainment. That was the point in a good bit of the rule changes post lockout. A 6-5 game will almost always be more exciting game then a 2-1 game. On another note, I thought this game was pretty sloppy for both sides, and both teams had some real lucky goals.
I agree 100%. I'll take a 2-1 nail biter over a 6-5 snore fest any day. It's about how they play, not about how many times they score that makes it exciting. If the team that is ahead can control the puck and has no problems in their own zone the game is a snore fest regardless of how many times the have scored. If the team that is behind chases that equalizer with blood tasting in their mouths, that's hockey at it's best and it doesn't matter if it's 1-0 at that point.
Although bit sloppy on both sides, and getting my blood pressure up, it WAS an entertaining game. Yes you can argue that the play wasn't phenomenal, but much was at stake through the see saw battle, energy and little bit of ferocity was there. anyways you guys want to nit pick details, this series is going to be good. Go HAWKS!

Enjoyed watching.
TV announcers are annoying when the game has been underway for awhile and they are still talking about some of the players being "a little tight" (in reference to the number of early goals given up). I'm not on the ice, but I'm pretty sure that anyone who is, is loose and in the game after the second shift.
Crimony, I felt the Flyers were the better team in those two periods. Two opportunistic goals by the Blackhawks was rather deflating. Well see what the third period has to offer.
edit: Hawks got lucky with that one. Flyers gave them a run for their money.
