Well, no. Technically it's a pure rally-raid/enduro type competition but it's known within the community as "the most bonkers and difficult enduro competition". So yes, the attrition rate is high and by the end of it all it becomes some sort of "last man standing".

Yeah, Romania is pretty much enduro heaven.

I've got a road bike now but I miss my dirt bikes, had a heap of 250 trail bikes when I was younger. Eventually I'll get myself another one, but something like a DRZ-400E will be the ticket, got to have one of each style of bike

442 lbs full of gas (6.1 gallons of gas). Drop it in the mud and you have to invent new cuss words to pick it up. But for a hunk of pork it handles very well.

Dang! Add on another 20 or so pounds of gear and that's double the weight of my bike! For a completely different type of riding of course.

I'd like to get another bike; a dualsport with a bigger tank, but still small enough for the tight mountain trails out here. To be honest there's probably about 6 bikes I'd like to own, lol.

A great story about some local Coloradoans helping Team Iceland compete in the Motocross of Nations this weekend.

Word, this is REAL riding. I'm Shopping for a BMW 650 Dakar right now. Untill then, my WR450 does double duty.
CA Plated with a 6.6 Gal fuel tank. 275 Miles.

In Motard trim with a little-ish tank.

    Parx400, NICE number!!!

Gotta get a bike someday when times are more certain. I've got a lot of friends in the industry, yet I've never even ridden a bike. Figure some sorta dualsport deal for going on backroads and stuff.

West Texican, that's a ****load of riding!

The bikes is also a commuter but it has traveled many thousands of those miles over the trails and dirt and caliche roads of the High Plains. I don't call them dual sports, I call them trespassers. My trespasser is on its sixth set of tires. I wish it was lighter. I wish there was a street legal and fast lane capable six speed KLX 450 based new KLR in 650 size under 350 lbs with a full six gallon tank for less than 6 grand, and world peace.

LOL, good name for it! Basically what I'd want to use it for!

I take it they're typically not very powerful?

The power is directly related to the price. The very expensive KTM and BMW models are very powerful but the cheap Kawasaki will go 100mph.

Harumph. As long as it's highway capable (this being Los Angeles, 100mph is just enough ).
