Ouch! That's why those motocross boots protect the entire lower leg!

Yeah that was years ago, it eventually healed by itself, took a very long time. Lovely scar.

FFS! ..engine is dead. It cant be welded. Or it can.. but it wont hold or could get destroyed while it is welded an machined. Fracture is in so difficult place to be welded and machined in a way that it will work in high rpms. Have to find new SX-F engine now.. Didnt see this coming when I was training at the gym and working during the winter to practice and race.

That sucks to hear, BlitzCod! If you have any questions, the guys at Thumpertalk.com in the KTM section should be very helpful.

Have to check every part before I know how much I need money to repair this one. Atleast one part for the transmission, 4 valve adjusting shims, welding of crankcase and bearings of bottom end.
How did you measure that? I hope you have a good magnet.

I used a dial indicator. Engine first in horizontal position, then dial indicator to the flywheel end of the crankshaft. Then you move it up and down. There is a good video about KTM engine in youtube with tags "KTM, Sonic" where this guy called Sonic is taking a 4-stroke KTM engine to pieces.

A magnet? I have the engine in pieces on my garrage table. Case halfs separated and cleaned. Fracture is in a place that it cant be welded in a way that it WILL hold on. And wont explode on me when Im hitting a big jump next time. So.. Im looking for a new engine at the moment. 2008-10 RC4 250 SXF. And there is one already one engine that I have to go to see and check out.

JC0352: Im already at TT-forum, been there for a while. Lots of good information in there. I heard also that Pourcel is out. Could be his arm, he had a big operation on that shoulder. Or he is just out of his mind and lost his confidence.

Australia’s greatest ever motocross export Chad Reed has been included in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list, appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the general division (AM) today.

Heard some rumours that Pourcel could be replacing Ben Townley of CLS Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki in MX1 GP. Who didnt take part in Portugal last weekend and feels that he is not in form to race on top level at the moment.

That's a shame for Townley. He's had some bad luck the past few years, but is really fast when everything's in place.
