good to see we have Abrams and we have a few Lockheed Martins correct? Just thinking of it as a potential Indonesian-Australian showdown, bcs that is the only other country that would present a realistic external threat.
Also think it is time to move away form the Browning. Far too expensive, could even use a Rusisan Pkm, but forgot that Coalition don't ever buy eastern block weaponry even if it may be better. Also don't see the point o the diggers hauling Javelins around in Afghanistan Bloody expensive per unit as well where any launcher would do the tick against entrenched enemies/snipers needing to be flushed out.

The javelin is bloody expensive but it makes up for it in accuracy and range. I'd rather have one than not have one.

just seems a waste for the Afghanistan scene, with all its fancy expensive top attack really meant for heavy armour when any other rocket would do

Javelins can punch through thick objects like houses, built up areas, and bunkers. I'm sure you can ask ISAF troops who used it appreciated having one in time of need.

Because it does things that other systems can't. You are comparing an orange to a trampoline.

SOTG has been wearing it for over 18 months, the mentoring boys have been wearing it since the last rotation, about 6 months.

Multicam is what all the cool kids are wearing.

Do any Aussie RAR battalions have a Blue Heeler or a Jack Russell for a mascot?

CPL McBarky, that would be the business.

It looked like that horse was getting a bit bitey.
