That new trailer looks ****ing awesome!!! I love mass effect and this is going to be fun to play again, cant wait![]()
That would be a very tall order, especially when they set their deadline on Holiday 2011, it may not be enough time for them to add all that stuff you said into the game.
Back to topic, the Reapers enslaved the Protheans who have survived the destruction of their worlds and brainwashed (indoctrinated) them as infiltration robots to seek out other surviving populations, in the meantime absorbing their technologies. When the extermination is complete, the Protheans are either left for dead or "genetically reconstructed" to become the Collectors, as described in ME1 and ME2 storylines.

Well, as it was explained in ME2, they probably need biomass of sapient species to create more reapers. At least that was how they were constructing the you know what in the you know where in that game.
I saw a leaked picture (like above) a while back and they claimed that it's from the upcoming new game Shattered Steel 2 or somthing, but I thought
I recognized the sniper rifle the soldier was holding as it looked very much like the Incisor sniper rifle from one of the DLC packs I bought.

Vigil on Ilos said that the Reapers took anything of value, all resources and used the prisoners as husks(slaves). Makes sense because after 50.000 years of "hibernation" they need to replenish their numbers, powers, whatever.... and use various species for their "reproduction". So destroying the planets from the orbit, makes no sense if they want to use the resources, slaves....etc.

Yep. Besides the obvious Big Ben/Houses of Parliament, you can see the London Eye in the panning-out montage, and Westminster Abbey is barely visible in the opening.
I wouldn't say so. You can easily make the council planetary visits on par any of the major planet missions in the first two games (Noveria, Feros, and Virmire in 1; Illium, Tuchanka, and the Citadel in 2; Earth will take the place of the Citadel and Omega from the 1st and 2nd games respectively). And even though there would probably one major city you visit, the other Earth cities can be equivalent to side missions.
Also bear in mind that as the last game in the trilogy, there is a good chance Mass Effect 3 will probably be the video equivalent of a door stopper.
In any case, even without that, I have exceedingly high hopes. This is going to be epic.
Likely because they give an overly embellished view (graphics-wise) of the game, instead of showing how the gameplay actually looks. Though I have noticed that for the 2nd game, cutscene graphics have improved drastically if the subject is inanimate (namely the reconstructing Shepard scene).
Maybe they can make the gameplay not suck this time around.
Wasn't a fan of ME2 at all. They took out pretty much everything I like about the first one.
Personally, I think they overdid the FPS aspects in 2. Though the shooter aspect is integral and needed to be increased from the first one, ME is still an RPG in its core, and I'm one of those who plays it more as a RPG than a shooter.
I know Bioware is still finding a balance, and hopefully they get it down more-or-less this time.
And here come the haters, sure took you guys long enough to get here.
Mass effect 1&2 were good games, end of story. The perfect game doesnt exist and will probably never will. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will start enjoying the good games that are out there.
