So I deleted ALL of my ME2 saves/characters. Gonna make 2 good shepards and 1 renegade.

I think the romance aspect should/will have a big part in ME3. Where you'll have to pick between Cerberus and the Shadow Broker; Miranda and spoiler: Liara

1st paragon shepard has Ashley killed on Virmire and hooked up with liara, but will hook up with miranda in new playthrough. Be completely against Cerberus.

And you can guess the renegade options.

2nd paragon has Kiadan killed and won't hook up with anyone in ME2.

Something like X-Wing/Freespace lite should be easily integratable into Mass Effect.
Fighters do exist in the universy according to the codex but are hardly seen in cutscenes.
Yeah, was thinking that too. Even just a cutscene. Thought all those upgrades in ME2 were only used once. Would like to have a scene where the normandy is fighting against a batarian ship or something. Maybe even be a part of a boarding action. Instead of just going into the same old freighter for 2 games killing everything.

ME3 will probably come out early next year, so I have some time. And for sure i'll wanna play a lot a few weeks before it comes out.

Have ME series on XBOX so I can't.

I believe Mass Effect 3 will be released this fall, and as it seems like BioWare is simply using an enhanced version of the ME2 engine with many of the previous games' assets, it's definitely a plausible goal.

Also, I think i'm going to save Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival for play just a week or so before the launch of ME3.

As for me, i am gonna continue on that shepard i started on in ME1. Doing otherwise would just be booring. I mean, thats the perfect way of starting, and ending the ME3 story. So what, if i could have made a few things different I am continuing on shepard, and it will stay that way.

Well yes, if you play...umm..Bionic.(I think)
I play mostly infiltrator with uppity soldier skills. So i stick around with a garrus/wrex or garrus/liara combo.

I started out in ME1 as a Soldier and upgraded to Shock Trooper during the Luna mission and carried on that until the end of ME2.

    All Infantry FTW.

I just started playing through Mass Effect 2, being a huge bioware fan (Since the Baldurs Gate days). Yeah it's pretty good alright - it reminds me of Farscape or Stargate. I hope ME3 is not a dissapointment like Dragon Age 2.

Anyway, is it worth picking up Mass Effect 1 and playing through that also (then again through ME2 with the same Sheppard)? I heard it's pretty buggy.

I would say it is worth it. If you like ME2 you will also like ME1, they are pretty similar. Some even prefer ME1, although I like ME2 better.

I think its pretty cool that you can play through all parts with the same character.

Lobo, I don't think being pro cerberus or anti cerberus is going to make any difference for Me3 for one I think cerberus and the illusive man are going to try and kill Shepard no matter what next game.

BioWare just announced that Mass Effect 3 will be postponed until a January or March 2012 release. Awesome news, more time to polish and fine tune an already great looking game!

...and more time to play Battlefield 3.

I believe that's been pushed back to around the same quarter as ME3, don't quote me on it though.
