WHy does it seem like they are beside each other?
I'm wondering why there was such a long pushback of the release date from fall 2011 to spring 2012.
I won't be playing Mass Effects MP. The first 2 games were STELLAR without it, just don't want them taking time away from the good stuff.
If your old xbox is totally toast, you're going to need a HDD transfer cable to do it, IIRC. You just stick the old drive in the cradle like end of it, and stick the USB end in the new xbox. You'll also need to transfer your licenses for any (marketplace) content to the new xbox to be able to use it.
The game was supposed to come out the same day as Skyrim, Bioware knew they couldn't get the GOTY awards going against Bethesda so they bumped it to march 2012.
Actually its not the dev cycles get underestimated, its that publishers(such as EA and UBI) generally only give a studio 2 years regardless if the game is done or not. The Silent Hunter series was never able to release a completed game as UBI gave them a 2 year limit on all the games and cut the team to around 17 people.
The biggest issue with RPGs, especially ones as expansive as TES, Mass Effect, etc. is QA. With so many quests, characters, voice acting, and so on there's a helluvalot of moving parts that can easily break. An immense amount of time goes in to simply playing through every quest over and over and over to find as many bugs as possible to ensure simple playability. And despite this, you still get games where showstopper bugs are common at release.
