In the original Fallout 3 you died no matter what. No matter the super mutant who doesn't care about radiation near you. Or that you wore super armor+enviromental suit+rad meds+super immunity to radiation. They changed that with the Broken steel dlc. You had additional options and you survived. I want same to the ME3.

I want to chill with Garrus on some beach, yell abit at my quarian neigbours for their geth dog messing my garden, read a asari-prothean book, meet a little mordin and a bunch of shepard krogans. Let me be in my fairytale and others can be in theirs. Your story your actions. Simple as that. And the price is already paid: (below)
Earth is in ruines, asari homeworld is in ruins, turian, elcor , hanar. Many colonies are wiped out already. Batarians are at best at point of extinction. Mordin is dead, Legion is dead, Thane is dead. Billions are dead. For me its the price paid.

we'll see what happens, Bioware sure love their dlc, but it seems kind of strange that they should rewrite their ending in any drastic manner to please players who want a happy ending. It's different to Fallout 3 imo, which simply lets you survive and go on to new adventures. I think they just to create wanted something of a tragedy.

To think about it - you can't really close the series/franchise with a happyend.

(see? I'm out of denial, so it's an acceptance phase)

    First - why not?
Second - it's not that a happy cause of all those killed and the devastation in the galaxy.

Again the endings should have been based on how you acted etc. I brought geth and quarians to peace so why couldn't Shepard say that to the whathisname face and chose differently? The endings should have been according to your actions that how you (theplayers) close their own end of story. Gloom and doom for some, keep these ending for others, and add some more positive ones ( yes, a "happy one"). People will be pleased and oh noes buy more stuff. Win win, no?

Again i'm repeating myself but what can i say. I got attached to the characters and the universe even with its flaws.

It's not an issue of having a happy ending, as in even without a happy ending I would be happy if I had a proper conclusion, bittersweet/happy/sad whatever...just a proper conclusion and to make my past decisions count for something, not only as a part of a number statistics that make up the % of war reediness.

    Not this f*cking cluster****.

I couldnīt care less about happy end, just kind of expected that ending will be closure to saga and not "choose from three colors" shyt which will not care at all about the decision you made in previous three games, answers no questions while opening much more and itīs solution will be simple magic. It was weird.

It seems that they wanted to end the timeline, with no ifs or buts. Hence the fail.

I dont want a happy end for ****s sake ... i was expecting Shepp to die from the end of ME2. But the ending just doesn't make sense and it destroys everything what was said in ME 1 and 2. Its like those early games just doesn't matter.

Again .. the last 10 minutes of ME3 rewrites the whole trilogy. And i really hope its not just REALLY bad writing

I actually liked the ending. Sure, it was incredibly weird and unexpected at the same time, but for Tony Shepard, it was very fitting. Actually, it fit my personality of the past five years in the series quite well. As a shock trooper I always went straight up the middle of the battlefield towards the fight. And as a SuperParagon, I couldn't choose anything but hold all life, even those with a tyrannical and evil past, as sacred. Before this game even came out, I wanted to look for any possible way that allowed me to spare further destruction by reasoning with the Reapers. My wish was fulfilled in a different, yet satisfying light.

Plotholes aside, while it was a surprise, I felt like this was a very good ending to Shepard's three year journey from Eden Prime to Earth. Keelah se'lai, Normandy.

Correct. For your Shepard yes. For mine, no. You liked the ending well good. I wanted my ending. You charged in and did what you thought was right, but it wasn't my choise and not what i wanted to do. Still don't see why BW couldn't give us more endings. More satisfied people more profit.

Apart from Mikhaels link, has Bioware bothered with any kind of answer?

I'm gonna restart with Femshep the whole series "ME1+", but now that I know the grand finale... OH YEAH.

I straightened out the gay crew member. He was crying his eyes out and I told him to grow a pair.

Jeez, how did he even get on board?
