    Hey, good on Turkey.

    I have to say, Turkey is quite the impressive country. They can upkeep quite the military, and have quite the strong manufacturing and development processes, with not having to spend a whole lot. The costs for some of those projects are peanuts compared to what US or Russia pay, yet I bet they are on the same lengths of quality.

    My hats off to you, Turkey.

    Can any of the Turkish posters explain why three different anti-tank missiles are being developed? I'm guessing one might be a man-portable and the UMTAS I've read more about... Seems a bit weird

    Dear Sepheronx,

    Turkish Aerospace Industry has described a target to develop an airliner in following years so Officials drawed a roadway to reach this target within 10-12 years. You know Some Civilian Officials and Engineers visited in Canada to check the cooperation posibilities with Canadian counterparts in this week. I hope Bombardier will be a partner of Stage-I of this program. For that Purpose, I hope We would congratulate eachothers with this cooperations in following years.

    Thanks for your hearty comments about Turkey, My Friend...

    Dear Al-Khalid,

    Special thanks brother. No need to tell How Turks respect brother Pakistan as well. As Ulytau stated that We will always be thankful for Pakistani nation to help us...

    Dear Elbs;

    As you stated that There are 3 different ongoing AT Missile program that is designed for specific missions. For example;

    -UMTAS(8km) is a long range air-ground Fire-Forget Missile system to integrate on T-129 Atak helicopters. It is an equivalent of Hellfire, PARS 3LR, Spike-ER.. It has a weight around 37.5 kg...

    -(37kg)OMTAS(4km) is a fire-and-Forget/Update medium range AT missile. It is developed to be used on a tripod or a land vehicle. Think it like an equivalent of Spike LR...

    -Tek-Er(Man Portable) KMTAS (22kg) program is a fire-forget/update missile which will have a range between 2000-2500m. It is an equivalent of Javelin and Spike MR...

    What I love is these are not just copies of existing missiles, they serve similar role yes, but the electronics, design, and manufacture are all Turkish.

    We already have capacity to produce licensed copies of the more effective missiles in production in the US such as TOW-2B and Hellfire, it's just that because these are original designs there will be no licensing conflicts and we can sell these designs without royalties need to be paid to third parties.

    There was no such thing as Pakistan at the time of the Turkish War of Independence. Just saying.

    Is there any co-operation between Turkey and Pakistan in the ballistic missile field ? I had come across a forum where people were claiming that Pakistan had supplied a couple of Babur missiles to Turkey.
