After watching 1st episode I decided to read the book. Read almost 2/3 of "Game of Thrones", still not very impressed. Is there something very cool that I have not read?

They aren't for everyone, they are more about plots and subplots with characters playing chess against one another politically and socially, there is action but not a whole hell of a lot. I am half way through teh third book "Storm of Swords" and I am still hooked, you can take nothing for granted in these books and that makes them awesome!

Oh and that Lannister dwarf is awesome! Gettin' boned day and night plus he got brains. One of my favs no doubt.
