Former VVD leader Frits Bolkestein told a tv show on Thursday night he had never called on orthodox Jews to leave the Netherlands because of growing anti-semitism, particularly from young Muslim men. ‘Newspapers gave the impression I had called on Jews to leave. That is not the case. I only want people not to look away. The past shows us that the Dutch look away too often,’ Bolkestein told the Pauw en Witteman talk show.Bolkestein said he made the comments in a ‘personal communication’ with the author of a book on anti-semitism in the Netherlands. ‘I’m not even sure I gave permission for it to be published,’ he said. Current Dutch policy makes it difficult to combat anti-semitism, the former EU commissioner said. ‘You cannot put a policeman in front of every house.’

So the Jews are the most endangered minority in Netherlands now?
I don't remember hearing about any Anti-Jewish political party in Netherlands that received 15.5% of votes.
Jews are an easy target for Moroccan street youth scum. There are many acts of anti-Semitism coming from this minority, both slander, insults and acts of violence. At a demonstration visited by many formerly mentioned scumbags we could hear them shout "Hamas, Hamas Jews to the Gas" and in other cities this happened too.
You are referring to the PVV of Geert Wilders. Well, this party has never called for violence against Muslims. Besides, it is unacceptable that a bunch of lowlives from the Rif mountains attack our Jewish community who have been a contributing part of our society for ages.
The comparison you make is nonsense and I would advise you to inform yourself better about my country.
I am quite aware of the Jewish historical presence in Netherlands and i'm not trying to justify this antisemitic acts just think mr. Bolkestein is a little exaggerating.
Was this after the Israeli attack on Gaza, or does it happen on regular basis? At a demonstration visited by many formerly mentioned scumbags we could hear them shout "Hamas, Hamas Jews to the Gas" and in other cities this happened too.
Well WizzKid, you gotta take what he allegedly said with a grain of salt (he now claims he didn't say this btw). Basically he was telling people to look at the problems we have with anti-Semitism.
The demonstration was after Israel defended itself from Hamas. Anti-Israel demonstrations (which go hand-in-hand with anti-Jewish incitement) don't happen that often. But anti-Semitic acts, including violent ones, do occur yes. Whenever something happens in the Middle East some elements of the Moroccan youth will respond, and anti-Semitism will follow. It's crazy. We don't see people hating on blacks because of Mugabe or hating on the average Iranian for the Mullah regime etc.
