    Default Best looking Military uniforms

Inspired by the "Ugliest dress/parade uniforms" topic

My first pick is British Life Guards. A truly elite look.

I agree with the USMC post but I prefer the blue pants(instead of white) and the enlisted coat over the officer one. That black coat with the red trim is just a masterpiece in my opinion. All this coming from someone that is enlisted in the Air Force too

Some good suggestions, there's also this thread in the Military History section for ideas: http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...e-17th-century

In my list of the smartest I'd include:

    RM Drum Major and Buglers.

NL Korps Mariniers' Marinierskapel 'speciale taptoetenue'( white trousers) and 'cermoniele tenue'(with spiked helmet).

Bugle Major and Buglers, The Rifles and Royal Gurkha Rifles respectively.

British Army Officers No. 2(male) service dress with Sam Browne or Pouch Belt(RA/RHA,Rifles,RGR) and sword, any Regiment/Corps.

RM Officers 'Lovat' service dress, with Sam Browne, sword and beret.

Ceremonial uniform worn by cadets of the Chilean Army's 'Escuelea Militar' at the 'Gran Parada'

The old DDR NVA 'Wachregiment' uniform

Jolly Jack's old, blue-serge 'square rig' prior to RN dress changes in the late 70's which did away 'bells'(with 7 creases), full silk neckerchief,laced- in collar etc.Pure 'Pash magnet,' Jack cut a fine profile back then, in my opinion.

Good choice, that's one easily among the best looking uniforms! They need to be subtle and laconic...

As for currently worn uniforms, I do also like the German Luftwaffe grand uniform.

Never felt comfortable about the army ones, though. Sigh.

The vast majority of people with whom I discussed the issue, convinced that the "best looking military uniform" was in Nazi Germany.
