    WASHINGTON - The US space agency's Voyager 1 spacecraft has reached the outer edge of the solar system where wind from the Sun is no longer blowing outward, but sideways, NASA said.

    It is remarkable to me that it has taken most of my life for a man-made object just to get to the edge of our solar system

    Yep. I'm far from being a melancholiac but it definitely saddens me that I won't get to see what else humanity will discover "out there".

    it's just amazing how BIG space is. 10 + billion miles away, and it still is just leaving our local system.
