    O

One of the better ones from DC, as they keep releasing more and more of the animated stuff. Unfortunately the latest (Year One) was a big letdown IMO, that is one adaptation you don't mess up.

That has been boiling in recent years, I think the popularity of the Bats has just pushed what already was a high $$$ title. A 9.0 would be gorgeous to own though.
    Ooops. Meant New Free Batsmovie.

I'm in the Stone Ages here. Broken sound card. Heard it was very violent which Batman/Red Hood should be.

I am a new Jason Todd fan. Never really read the Starlin stuff (I was just out of college and too cool for comics or too busy having a life etc...) Missed that whole "hate him" thingee. Back then, with only one example of a Robin ( *D*i*c*k) he was compared very unfavorably. Now with **** and Jason and Tim and now Damian ( what a nimrod, albeit a tough one ) plus the myriad batbabes, BG, BW, Huntress, Oracle, Birds of Prey, CW and Manbats, and The Outsiders etc... he seems just one of the group. Although, one who got the shaft. Bats should have killed Joker then. Long before taking on Tim.

That sucks, it is pretty violent for bats (killing wise) People still seem to agree that the best animated film was Mask of the Phantasm, Return of the Joker is one of my tops though. Really portrayed how shaken the entire team was from that one character.

Jason never came back up, though you are right in the sense that the newer stuff has given him some cred. The Red Hood stuff definitely. He just wasn't a good character for a long time and people seem to not care if he is around, which causes some friction when he is potentially forced upon a reader. I was on edge with Damian but it worked out.

It is bad enough having to wait an entire month for part 2 of 5 or 6 but, waiting 10 years for 5 issues that are good on their own. Oi.

Default My name is Bill Mantlo. I want to go home.

I have an older wizard spread about him, really tragic to such a budding talent.

If you have the time, and emotional fortitude, I recommend you read this lengthy and heartbreaking profile of Bill Mantlo, the prolific 1970s and ’80s Marvel writer who now, 19 years after being struck by a car, lives in a Queens, New York, nursing home. While his struggles have been reported on in the past, I can’t recall them being chronicled in such crushing detail.

Mantlo turned 60 on Wednesday, but in his gaunt and pale condition, is described as looking closer to 80. He lacks mobility and labors to speak; he has a history of violent outbursts. Marvel’s “fill-in king,” who co-created Cloak & Dagger and penned titles like ROM, Micronauts and The Incredible Hulk, hasn’t been able to write since 1995. The last personal entry in his journal, dated Feb. 14, 1995, begins, “My name is Bill Mantlo. I want to go home.”

Jock? Who the hell is Jock? And why is that cover, of a book with no characters on it, $500.00?

Jock has done the majority of the covers, Guera is the main artist though. Significance to the series goes a long way with the prices.

This is probably my favorite cover of the lot: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...12&GSub=122387
