Not yet, but I've only read issue 1, and yes.

Oh s*h*i*t. Have to remember to be nice. Now we have like 5 on MPNet. I probably knew that already and forgot. And have been talking to you like you were a guy.

I thought Frank was being exceptionally nicer than usual.

I think the lead in SAGA will be a women too. But, it is the third issue and she is a narrating baby.

No need to go easy on me. Well, maybe you should, I'm kind of a n00b. I still haven't read Saga yet. It's on my list, which looks like this:

    Study for exams next week
    Buy comics
    ???
    Profit

I was being easy on you anyway because, you are from Australia. You like American comics and speak the right language. And really, anyone who posts in this thread is OK by me.

If exams are upcoming ...save the comics. Unless they are on the exams.

Mantis was my favorite character in the 70s BTW. Along with Killraven and Namor. She isn't the same now but, when Englehart wrote her.....

I'm not too familiar with the Marvel-verse, but I read Civil War recently, and was I right on picking up a...vibe between Namor and Sue Richards?

Yes they have been lovers before. He starting flirting with her right at the beginning of the Marvel Silver Age. Around FF 4 OR 5. I forget. He loves blonds. She has left Reed a few times in the last 60 years (our time) and they have started up. Hard for an air breather to spend ones whole life under water though. He is being shown as more wolf-like and randy lately, but, has always been a good lover when he was "taken."

I do believe he kidnapped her at their first meeting. How is that for Romance?

PS: At times she has been the leader of the Fantastic Four. She is the most powerful, IMO. With her training and experience she can do a whole hell of a lot with her two powers. My favorite FF member hands down.

That's very 'Rape of the Sabines', which is...Roman. (See what I did there?)

Mais oui! When Bill Everett created Subby he needed a noble sounding name. He tried many and ended up with Roman. Spelled it backwards and voila! Namor doesn't rape the women though. They are all his willing partners. And Sue was a prisnor of war (between Namor and the FF) she later chatted with him and they felt something for each other. Sue and Reed were not married yet.

PS: Great painting. Can't imagine the real thing though. Even later Claudius and others were aghast.

Good, it might have been a bit too far otherwise. I'm not keen on rape as a plot device.

And now I'm done 'studying' and there's a couch and a Community season 1 dvd with my name on it. Good evening/night/morning.

It's a bit embarrassing to admit but I'm a huge Buffy fan. I read the Season 8 trades, but I'm really unhappy with the way it ended so I'm not sure about Season 9.
That's right. I forgot about the TV in the woods, with the video. Slayerfest 98 sounds "old" now... :0

I'm not too embarrassed. It is my favorite TV show... Actually, I'm a lot more sick of Star Trek TOS than BTVS.....

I almost had a Buffy fan attack me for poking at the series, in my mind it's good to make fun of things you enjoy. ....
Tell me about that.. I made a comment about finding out that Buffy is occasionally just a gal growing up in the USA.. Got a bit of grief for that from my GF.

Ha... Stunt Doubles... The ones in the old Star Trek are obvious to me now too. I just saw Amok Time the other day and I got a snicker in here and there during the duel.

    Saturday Night. METV?

Good episode. It follows Lost In Space.

IDW is doing some really good Star Trek comics right now. They do original cast. New universe cast (JJs) and others. Just picked up a sweet looking 100 page special and they also just finished a Star Trek (Kirk crew) Legion of Super Heroes crossover. An accident merged the two possible future timelines and they met to fight the dictator who had taken over the galaxy and fix the timelines. It was Vandal Savage/Methuselah from both worlds. The same immortal, different versions.

Stunt doubles. I'll be keeping my eyes open for good (bad?) ones now and report back here.

Sir I can repulse anyone, male or female if the mood strikes me. Don't insult me.

Your professors should understand if you mess up on a test, because you were reading the current Bats arc or something. Otherwise they are nothing but bums.

She essentially is just growing up and going through the motions, just more monsters and the undead.

There is a current going on with the JJ universe and it is pretty good, takes place some time after the film. I know the books detailing the events leading up to the film were also generally well received.

Some history of Bane in prep for the film.

Yeah, I'm reading that and enjoying the alternate first show comics. I like how the faces are JJ.
