Same here, catching up on some trades too. It is the problem that really isn't a problem.

The Overside universe is pretty cool in general. Though Dahm's style of storytelling took some getting used to at first (less so for Vattu; more so for Rice Boy).

I think though that we already have a webcomic thread; then again, once they are printed, the line blurs.

    Interesting twist with YJ yesterday.

Yup, I just had the idea of undercover, 1 minute before they revealed it. I knew they wouldn't kill off that annoying archer. I hate her too much. Plus...no one is ever dead forever in the Marvel and/or DC Universe.

Archers are boring. Four archers are 4 times as boring. Everything else is pretty cool though.

Looks like M'gan/Lagoon is doomed to failure. Supes and she are still in love. She seems to be pushing her luck with the powers. But, if you had the same ones, wouldn't it be very tempting to use them to make the world the way you want? Cunundrum. When Connor said the part about her trying to make him forget and then added "Do you think I don't know your touch in my mind?" I was very moved. Considering it was in a cartoon.

Awww, I was rewatching the old Mr. Freeze stuff from Bats TAS and it gets like that too. A tragic character. Still wondering what all those ruins were about with the future flash?

I dug the crazed Aqualad, seeing Nightwing in the field was cool too. They really did well with Kon-El, good writing for that character. Don't be jelly of the arrows man.

Since Dredd is a comic character, first poster for the reboot.

Yeah, the Bats Annual had you feeling bad for him. Sort of reminded me of Gail.

Jelly...of the arrows? Yawn is more like it.

So dump the DCnU Superboy please and turn him into Connor.

I would of loved a Mr. Freeze karaoke video. Wouldn't be a bad idea to inject some of the YJ styled Connor into the books.

Yeah....the superbooks are the big DC problem now. Even Morrison has not come through. There have been 2 good solo stories in his last 2 but, still no important, interesting continuity. Superman and Action...average. Teen Titans and Superboy...horrible. Supergirl looking up. It all adds up to nothing though. Real shame. No path to be seen and no important concatenation between books.

The best thing to do, IMHO, would be to cancel them all and start anew. Can't really do that with the other books sort of tied in. Like JLA.

Bats is doing pretty well, Morrison is holding up well still with Batman & Robin. DC doesn't seem to care about pulling series that are actually good, so maybe they can do something crazy like pull bad ones.

Thanks. That is interesting. We knew they were coming but, not when. New books look hit and miss to me though. Not like the first round which I have been enjoying. I think Phantom Stranger is a good idea. But, I have never read a comic by Dan. Can he write?

Amethyst? One for Evil Minion, but maybe the backups might be spicy.

Sword of Sorcery could be good. I might have out grown this genre. It was a favorite as a kid but, I think I have read it all.

And this seven book with a newbie writer. I just hear the name Amanda Waller and I want to pull out my hair.

    Bad feelings.

However, still into Earth 2 and Worlds Finest and Dial H etc...

Also, just finished the Superbia mini-series and really liked it. Will read the new series coming this fall.

As for Morrison, yeah his Batman Incorporated was a good first issue and I'm in.

Don't think Dan has really done much at all, some TV writing and very little comic writing. He mostly handles publishing duties. DC should look at Dark Horse Presents, DH gives something between a large single issue and a trade. You get to check out a bunch of new talents or ones that are still coming up. So far it seems that the choices for those books have been good.

Dial H has got me, no complaints. Has Amanda been around munch in DCU since the reboot?

The Secret is shaping up to be one of the better series of the year. Also reading Manhattan Projects from him, which is a little oddball but pretty good so far.

Cover for a Batman Beyond issue in September

Nice Batman Beyond cover. Don't remember seeing Waller in DCnU but, she just grates on me. Maybe she was in Superman. That I want to forget. Here she is what? In a pre-hero squad with some others like Steve Trevor 5 others etc...No wonder she is jealous of Metas.

Kirby art from the novel, eh? You own?
