    Great pictures as always.
Thanks Snakebiteleader.I hope this helps. You can be conscripted for a 24 month period. But it is mostly all volunteer force. It depends on each municipality.Threat of guerilla activity and what not.In case of all out war every able bodied man would be conscripted into service and armed by National Police Forces or from Military stocks.Numbers can swell to 10 million able bodied men if Colombia is threatened by a external threat.

Thanks Israel makes good weaponry and we are glad to have a good ally.

Edit-They are a FARC Front guerilla unit. That took hostages for randsom. This is how most rebels fund themselves and by the drug trade.

    Thanks SturmPionier.

The situation in Colombia well in the major cities is peaceful. But the rural areas are coming more and more under control of the central government. The Narco-Terrorist really only resort to ambush and no offensive military operations. The big killer are IED's and land mines that take a toll on the civilians and military personel.

Hmm sounds better then i thinked about it, are the narco - Terrorists able to compene this repercussions with backup from the cartels(s) ?

IEDs are pretty nasty, but if they also plant IEDs / mines in citys wouldnt the people stopping to help the terrorists in any way and maybe more to support the goverment?

In Colombia people work with the Cartel's and Guerrillas because of the money, not because they want to help the revolutionary movements.... and of course theres always the people who are forced to "cooperate".
