Do people preoder games they know NOTHING about? Theres next to no info on this game and no release date (that i've heard of) and yet you can preorder it.
The only games I preorder are games that already have demos or a million gameplay videos for, such as Shogun 2, DA 2. The only exeception is Mass Effect 3, imma preorder the extremely limited special edition.

Hopefully, the maps are as big or bigger than BF2. If they are, BF3 will be a revolutionary shooter game. If not, it just going to be another shoot from the hip, linear routed, nade spamming crapper with good effects.
The shooters in the last few years have concentrated more on graphics and effects instead of tactical gameplay. Hopefully BF3 will integrate the two.
BTW, Novalogic started the real FPS games, way before BF1942 even came out.
Land Warrior, Black Hawk Down and Joint Ops never got the recognition it deserved for the evolution of FPS games.
No mod tools might hurt the longevity of the game. DICE must really be confident that its going to be a hit game not to include it....Cocky bastards.

Of idiots depending on how one looks at it.
To their credit, I don't think there's too much in the way of Swedish language information in circulation in the Russian defense industry. I should have clarified and said that some collecting/airsofter groups in Sweden with a history of researching and collecting Russian equipment were contacted by DICE for information. I have no idea what the Swedes said or what DICE asked.
I just think it means that in 2010 DICE was interested at some point in learning what they could include for contemporary Russian military in-game models.
And who invaded Paris map then?
