Sorry, but the SU-24 MK was a downgraded version of SU-24M, and i dont think it even had pavetrak or could handle anything but dumb bombs. Hey i might be wrong sitting in my armchair (LOL).
In any case even an F-35 would be in trouble if it was down low and going slow flying into cannon fire.

I love this shot, the caption explains the action.
Perfect example.... the caption is wrong. In the Libian conflict- photos and video thread there are three consecutive pictures showing this scene http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...d-Videos/page2 . That metal is being shot at and jumps in the air three times. So is there heavy shelling, or a misleading portrayal?

I believe that he doesnt even know what he is holding. For him it's a bazooka

Yes, it's a SA-7, but he is acting like he holds an RPG-7

Bin Jawad has fallen to Gaddafi’s troops, the BBC confirms.

I have a feeling that things are not going as planned for the opposition and without foreign intervention revolution will be crushed soon.

Yeah, they took the Gaddafi by suprise and many military units switched sides.. But now the the opposition is running out of steam and it looks like Gaddafi's army still packs a large punch.

And he has reinforcements streaming in daily. Cashing in all the favors he dished out.

Unless the rebels also gain reinforcements from outside idealists/mercenaries/etc streaming in, they are done for. And their pride is too much for that.

"An Air India Airbus A330-200, registration VT-IWB performing evacuation flight AI-160 from Tripoli (Libya) to Delhi (India), could not retract the landing gear after departure from Tripoli. The crew decided to divert to Malta (Malta) for a safe landing on Malta's runway 31.

The aircraft had arrived in Tripoli early Mar 5th and had been on the ground in Tripoli for about 34 hours."

Glad they decided to divert to Malta.

    Arabs doing work for themselves?
They will rather stick to their tradition of letting others do the dirty work and complain about it being dirty in the end.

I think your wishful thinking will not come true. And some western states are already eager to show what goodoers they are again.

Daffy is getting his pieces together and in front they've got a bunch of posers who for instance were using their cell phones...Yeah right. It's like the Russian-Georgian war when the russian would pick up some Georgian units by Cell phone triangulation. Not wise using your mobile when you got only one provider...Daffy-G. Among so many other issues.

    Red face

Gadhafi: Crackdown of Libya revolt is like Israel's Gaza war on Hamas

Seems that the Old Quack is running out of arguments if he uses the Israeli one to justify his actions

    Caption is
Rebel fighters jump away from shrapnel during heavy shelling by forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi near Bin Jawad, March 6, 2011. Rebels in east Libya regrouped on Sunday and advanced on Bin Jawad after forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi ambushed rebel fighters and ejected them from the town earlier in the day.
    My complements to the photographer.
