Based on his profile, last activity was more than a year ago, even though he said will be gone for 6 months.

It is possible that he was caught out by Hood's great leap back ward .with no means to changes his password.

Perhaps an admin can check and drop him a mail? Not too sure if it breaks any privacy issues.

He was a former russian navy man and sonar expert for a russian naval university, he knew a lot about ASW.

Actually, I think you'll find that is the direct opposite to how they choose the pilots.

I seem to recall that the original SR-71 pilots were usually mature family men, as opposed to "Hotdog Cowboys".

The reasoning being that you wanted a steady hand at the controls, with somebody that has everything to lose by being stupid or by messing around.
