You sir... are ridiculous... in a very good way of course.
Thanks Sandy. The Empire cannon set comes with barrels for either a mortar (now nerfed with the new rules) or a cannon. The broken wheel came from a Lego(TM) set (I think).

Um, thanks.. I think.
Righto, weather (while still crappy) cleared up enough to take some more pictures. This time it's some greenskins. I'm not making a greenskin army, I got these pretty much purely for opforce in the Warhammer RPG I also run. There was a Battle for Skull pass set going cheap and I picked up some spare Orks from somewhere else so here are the results.
First up, Waaaargh Cheiftain Grumlock (and his shaman Gazbag). This figure came with the special edition of Warhammer online.
And then the gobbo warboss and shamen from BFSP
Orks - the red pants make them run faster...
A Troll, I called him Ordie...
Some gobbo spider riders
And some night gobbos, archers and speargobs...

Cool looking orcs and goblins.
Some shots from the (stopped for lack of time) game I was playing on the weekend against a mate.
1 -Skaven Jezzail sniper fleeing for his miserable life after my archers destroyed the other 4 snipers. Small repayment for the 6 archers he killed.
2 -Skaven Warpfire thrower team who just missed incinerating my archers by 0.5". About to be the recipients of a lot of arrows next turn I think.
3 -Skaven clanrats moving forward to try to outflank elven forces.
4 -Skaven Stormvermin elites trying (slowly) to cross the river.
5 -Skaven Plaguemonks who have successfully crossed the river.
6 -High Elf spearmen moving forward to engage the Stormvermin about to be taken in the flanks by a Doomwheel. Luckily the Doomwheel has taken a lot of damage so far (including from "friendly" fire. Note also the "Sinister Statue" nearby that may be about to influence matters.
7 -High Elf archers ready to deliver a volly of arrows onto the nearby Clanrats.
8 -High Elf Mage (lore of shadows) about to (hopefully) cast some buffs on either the archers or the spearmen.
9 -Unit of Skaven Rat Orgres locked in close combat with High Elf Silver Helm cavalry. They've kind of badly mauled the cavalry already who screwed up a charge on them the previous turn. Note the second Doomwheel coming down the side of the mansion and the second High Elf Mage (Lore of Life) nearby.
10 -High Elf Prince on a Griffin about to swoop down and assist the cavalry.
11 -High Elf Swordmasters, unable to get past their fellow elves and so useless at the moment (damnit).
I thought you guys might like to know, GW released a teaser trailer for 40k 6th Edition.
I saw that. We will know more later this month. I'm wondering what the entry box set is going to be? I'd like something like Dark Angels vs Dark Eldar...
6th Edition of 40k is due out June 30th

Im curious, how exactly do you play this game? Do you say like "My "xx" mage sends a firespell and deals 20x damage to you" or is it based on lore on what those and those characters do and they will always be able to kill the one who is less strong than you? It seems like a fun thing to do, just never figured how to actually play it.
Each unit has a set of statistics on how good it is at hand-hand, ranged combat, how strong and tough it is, and how fast it moves. There is a grid that'll tell you how well a unit of X toughness will stand up to ranged combat of Y strenght (or hand to hand or what ever) and dice are rolled to see whether they stand up to it or sucumb. Unit that lose enough, may retreat or panic completely and run away.
Lots of other bits and pieces to add to that, but the basics are pretty simple. If you ever feel like giving it a try, pop into your local Games Workshop, the staff are always willing to try to hook someone new onto their plastic crack.
I decided to spoil myself and preordered the Gamers Edition of the new 40K rulebook
My bank account cries out in pain![]()
Wow, I saw there was an "ultimate" version too, a mere US$550...!
So thats what the CSM meant in Dawn Of War when they said a million mouths cry out in pain!
Holy **** didn't know 6th was coming already. Saw a small notice in Facebook feed that all the Collectors eds have already sold out. Hopefully it is a return to awesome lore, and less Matt Ward ****fests. Rumors have been going on that the lore changes are immense, the ones coming. Like, mind blowing immense. As in we'll actually be into or past M40.
I wanna drop in to say your guys work is ****ing awesome, I wish I could join but Im hella poor, so I mostly concern with fluff
BTW, here's a wiki I frequent, it has a huge W40k section, and includes tons of good stuff, while not absolutist like Lexicanum or broad like the W40k wiki, its the best cause it contains not only the most fluff but actual crunch advice and ****...it is very expansive. This page has some awesome Creation Tables for various factions in case you wanna make a fresh army but unsure what the lore should be
