Imperial Roman period is interesting, and also older and newer periods.

BTW, what do you think of this. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuf...E_FIGHTER.html

Yip, I hope to be able to have few time periods for nice skirmish level games. That way not too many pieces of miniatures and scenery gathering dust... well that's the plan at least.

So I see you have nice collection of FW's SMarines, anything else going on?

I'm building a Chaos Space Marine force, a Iron Warriors Legion Grand Company. I'll use different kinds of bits for them, and maybe Nights Lords as allies.

So everybody is nowadays doing allies because of the new rules edition? Haven't had rules since... third edition, I think, but perusing different forums lets to keep on tabs with what's happening.

Post more pics as you progress with them.

Nice stuff Pocoloco. I like the cammo scheme. Why no gaming? No-one local to take on?

A while back I bought a Warhammer Quest set. It had most of the figures but all the cards and books had been ruined by water. And then the other day I bought another. It had all the books and cards in excellent condition, but only a few of the figures left. But between them I have a pretty much complete set.

    Thanks Kiwi.

I think there would be locals to take on but I like the planning, modelling and building part the most I guess. Maybe in next five years if I get at least this bunch done, who knows.

The classic WH Quest... nice finds, good thing you managed to get the whole set that way.

Fair enough. I quite like the "story telling" part of gaming. Always good for a lugh.

For example, the last Skaven vs High Elves I ran, the HE were dominating. The Skaven warlord and his Warlock Engineer were stuck in a tower about to be slaughtered. My brother playing Skaven knew their mindset. His mage cast skitterleap to take himself to safety while saying "Wait here warlord, I'll go get help"...

Yes, played very skavenly, that's nice. I think that finding opponents with enough laid-back attitude might be problem, don't want to even imagine playing against some teenagers who take it way too seriously. That's why also should look more into historicals and get some old friends to play those.

Yeah, I'd hate to play against a "win at all costs" kind of person.

So, as I said I picked up two boxes of Warhammer Quest in order to make one (almost) complete one. The only thing I am short on is the spiders, I only have three or four and I should have a dozen.

First up the box. A bit tattered and torn, but still good enough to hold... a lot of paper

And doorways. Also a fully painted Minotaur (that I'll probably replace with my Beastmen Minotaurs) and an Orc warrior (which I will only replace the green flocking on the base). Heaps of bats too, I think I now have more than the dozen that came with the basic set.

And then the warriors that also came painted by the previous owner. As the paint job was pretty good, I've limited myself to giving them a coat of Dullcoat and fixing/replacing the broken swords and staff of the barbarian, elf and wizard. Oh and rebasing them too.

And finally, WHQ isn't all I've been working on. These High Elf archers are made up of a mix of archer and spearman parts. They're not quite done yet, I need to finish the standard bearer and add flock to the bases.

That WHQ sure does bring back memories. We didn't play that game actually so much but used the floor tiles etc to make really nice Dungeon Bowl set-ups mixed with the stuff from Dungeon Bowl set.

Great looking High Elves, very classic colours, fit them really good.

Sorry, just noticed that Avenger link.

It's looking interesting although I personally like the good old Thunderbolt more. Someday should get two of them but first I need to purchase one Vulture for my Elysians so it will prolly take lots of time before I get even one Thunderbolt.

So that's good old Talisman in 40K, basicly.

Should get it just for the busts, might be useful in scenery.
