I quite like Dreadfleet. It has pretty good rules, but with that usual GW mix where the dice can f*** you over good if they're rolling badly. Running an RPG based on it's backstory right now.
That, and Imotekh the Stormlord who can call down lightning and take out entire squads of my marines before I've even had my first turn, and the monolith which has about a million attacks
I need to finish off the rest of my Devastator squard, the heavy weapons are my only hope

Reason: kant spel
just finished painting my first one, though i havn't put in the transfers, and i forgot about addind the little add ons. But overall, im pritty proud of my work. Not bad for using only a starter brush. Just now need to find a quality camera to post it from.
Lessons learned when painting mini's.
1, give parts more than one coat,
2. paint every detail(uncluding under the shoulderpads.)
3 have quality brushes/paints at hand.
Until i get more paints, im probably going to be doing a Pre-heresy World Eaters and Death Guard. Ill post them as they come.
(forgive me for the crappy shots.)
Nice clean work mate. I would suggest that when taking photos, put a sheet of light coloured paper in the background (notice how some of mine have a light blue background). This makes it easier for the camera to focus on the figure, so you get clearer photos. If you can, use two or three light sources too, as that helps eliminate shadows.
Got my first genestealer hybrid painted have to do the next hybrid and Magus then I can base them together for space hulk use.. here is quick picture of the first genestealer hybrid.
I have spent part of my Christmas break assembling this utter bastard of a piece of scenery. Such a cast iron bitch to assemble. I had to resort to pinning every single piece of wall to its neighbour twice (top and bottom) to make it sit together right. Still then end result is quite nice I think.
Behold, the Witchfate Tor!!!
In this picture you can see the long brown stain beneith the garderobe...
And this is what the top of the tower looks like from above...
That looks awesome! And how did the battle in the background fair?
Also, just got my Dark Heresy RPG in the mail today. The artwork is killer and I'm looking forward to reading through it. Saw some old school art pieces in there from some old White Dwarfs and codexes.
Thanks mate. The battle in the background was from Christmas day. My High Elves vs my brothers Skaven. Skaven got lumps handed to them. He didn't take advantage of his superiority in numbers and let me defeat his units in detail. Not to mention I got rather lucky with the dice and he didn't - his warmachines tended to miss outright, or to only do S1 or S2 attacks. And of course the tendency of the Skaven to run away at a moments notice didn't help him either.
About 4,500 points of Empire and about 2,500 - 3,500 points each of Skaven, High Elves and Beastmen. Plus assorted extras...
Dark Heresy RPG does look interesting too. I am currently GM-ing Warhammer Fantasy RPG as well (it's how I got into the battle game in the first place).
