If people don't want to spend too much a few people got together and created a skirmish version for 40K much in the vein of what Mordheim is for Warhammer. It's called Death Squads, though you have to sign up at their website to download it. Also the Necromunda rulebook is for free download as well on the GW website so those with their old models can still bring them out and not have to worry about paying a lot of money or setting up a large game. Most likely you could set up a scenario and use your army against itself.

I just went through my Imageshack account and found a few (old) photos I made in 06 of my Orcs:

My boss. He´s riding on a boar and is actually a pretty tough guy. I planned to put him into a regiment of Boar Riders but that never happened. The standard and the mushroom on his base are self-made.

A group of "ordinary" Ork warriors. They´re tough guys, too, of course and they´re armed with spears. The fellow with that funky blue tattooes and the cool shield is the regiment boss, he´s tough, too.

Last but not least, the toughest guy in my army. The giant!

Now that I look at those photos I´ve got to say that my painting skills weren´t the best, but to my 16-year old self those models looked quite cool. And atleast I´ve painted all of them, I know guys who just glued them together and immediately started gaming, because they "don´t like to paint". ^^

Only done 4 so far and I would like to have 10, but it is hard work with lots of greenstuff. Still, the horses were 2nd hand and only $15, and the Ungors were part of a battalion box and I already have enough raiders.
Yes they are really expensive but i was very lucky to find them from my friend who give up to complete beastman army. i actually play 40K and i have 10000 points Dark Angels army and 4000 points Khorn+thousand sons but i have no pictures about them. we have a warhammer club in our city and everyone has own place to put their armies. In first opportunity i ll take pictures of them also and put here.
Another point is gamework shop started a new strategy for sales price as all we know less model more expensive(less model but lots of part inside box) that also make me slow to complete my beastman army. In the past 20 gore and ungore model was 18 pound and now just 10 model is that amount. and also they force people to create hord armies with the new rules of warhammer. All my friends have paint work for 40 goblin, ork, ungor etc. and all wood elf players cry now sad to see

killteams used to be straight out of 4th edition rulebook, I was sad to see it go.
I thought this thread would be about warhammer airsoft or something. Maybe I'll post some of my old Imperial Guard here.

Yeah Wood Elves got seriously badly ****ed by the new rules. They would have to be the most useless army now out of all of them.

Played a demo game using Wood Elves against the Skaven and got stomped by the Doomwheel all by itself. Took out half of my army.

I had that happen to me the other week. Beastmen vs Skaven, only 800 points per side (because that's all the Skaven he had). But what he did have was a Doomwheel. Which went "zap, zap, zap, grind, grind, grind", repeatedly for 3 turns at the end of which I had almost my entire Beastmen force evaporated.

GW Codex creep is so friggin annoying. As well as Imperial Forces always being a bit unbalanced, though I can work around that. The way Chaos got the shaft this edition though, completely unacceptable. One of the most popular, and character-filled armies totally gutted with a bland-ass codex.

I stop painting and playing more than year ago... Somehow I need stronger andrealine rush. My life is in bad condition now - so no time or need to play toy soldiers
