The British Army recruited three battalions of Libyan Senussi Arabs in WW2: the Libyan Arab Force. A small number of them worked with the LRDG/SAS in Libya. One (Lt Saad Ali Rahouma) was given the Military Cross. I wouldn't be surprised if some Libyans were given the African Star/British War Medal.

A Libyan Walt, the medal being pointed too is the British AFRICA STAR for service in North Africa, Abyssinia, Somaliland, Eritrea and Malta.

The medal to the right of the grenade is a British War Medal 1935 - 45
