Former French foreign minister Roland Dumas visited Libya as a lawyer to prepare a legal case on behalf of victims of NATO bombing and said he was prepared to defend leader Muammar Gaddafi if he is sent to The Hague.

South African President Jacob Zuma is set to meet embattled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi on Monday, his second visit to Tripoli since unrest started roiling the North African country.
What interests me is this part:
The opposition movement's stature has been bolstered by the sale of a shipment of oil to China for $160 million, Jalil said.
So...while China is being dismissive in public about citizen uprisings, it IS de facto buying the rebels oil..

China knows where the $ is and will keep enough relations with whoever they think might win

Yep, they seemed to have actually dug lines and used the terrain for cover instead of standing around in the open... looked much more like an actual fighting line

A senior aide to Saif al-Islam, Col Gaddafi’s son, had been sent to London for secret talks according to reports, in an indication that the regime was looking for an exit strategy.

Note, from what I hear the front is now 35km west of Misrata...but it's a big spread out city so it could mean anything from 25-35 kms.
    Also, from this link:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/feedarticle/9670472
Misrata's rebels, around 3,000 active fighters in all, according to Badi, are now spread over three fronts outside the city: to the west, south, and east. For now, the rebels say they are content to hold onto the territory they've won, allowing some breathing room to civilians in Misrata, on the eastern and southern fronts.
So Gadaffi send in a brigade to suppress the uprising, and the city defeated the brigade and formed it's own brigade-sized force in return. Nice.....
Notice how the Khamis brigade is no longer mentioned in news reports, and now all loyalist forces are just called 'Gadaffi's troops' and such. I think the Khamis brigade has ceased to exist as a coherent fighting force.

Correct, that is Benghazi. You can see this horizontally stepped building in the background and the two domes of the old Italian cathedral.

They did not, officialy they are 32nd peopleīs brigade and is the one which controls Zliten and attacked rebel positions between Dafniya and Naima two days ago. I donīt know but which brigade is operating in Tawargha area.

Kuno: You said you lived in Libya for some time, would you mind writing down some of your experiences and your opinion on this whole matter in Libyan uprising thread? Iīd be very interested to hear it from you.

Thinking if that is what hapened myself as well... the FN2000 was apparently part of that brigade? So they were obviously involved in the fighting, and the rebels captured some

Yes, 32nd. The Fn2000 the rebels got in the video had the markings of the 32nd. Would be interesting to know what part of the fighting they were in?

Rebels somewhere between Al Dafiniya and Na' imah fighting...one silly man reverts to Rambo tactics and nearly gets shot, camera man picks up a splinter. Then they over run an abandoned regime position, capture an armoured vehicle and weapons. WARNING SOME GRAPHIC CONTENT OF DEAD REGIME SOLDIERS AT 4.05

OOPS sorry repost but should have the warning so I'll leave it.

It must be a nightmare for undertrained, either Gheddafi's or rebels' forces to keep the FN2000 working in a desert environment. I wonder how much 5.56x45 NATO ammo they have: Gheddafi's forces should have some, Rebels should have near to zero.

Interesting enough that all those FN FALs are still finding a lot of usable 7.26x51 NATO ammo. I was under impression that those FALs were just in storage for many years when they were taken over by the rebels from the military ammo dumps they overran.
Obviously I dismiss possible ammo deliveries from Egypt as insignificant: from a logistical standpoint the rebels are a force that is moving without any cohordination. If any ammo is actually leaking in Libya, it mainly stops in Tobruk/Benghazi and is hardly distributed to the first lines simply due to incompetence.
