You sure about that? That looks more like the typical 5.45x39 mag on the AK74M but it's hard to tell the curvature of the magazine without a comparison

Those gun shots from the Tigre looks pretty spread out. No sound so I could not tell the distance they were shooting from.

    Back on track:

n this photo made available by French Army Saturday June 4, 2011, combat helicopters are prepared on the deck of French navy vessel BPC Tonnerre in the Mediterranean sea. British Apache and French attack helicopters struck targets for the first time in NATO's campaign in Libya, hitting Moammar Gadhafi's troops early Saturday near a key coastal oil town, the alliance said. Hours later, at least eight airstrikes were heard in Tripoli.

From the french helicopter footage that I've seen from Afghanistan, its the same thing. Cannon was spread out and the non-laser guided rockets didn't hit a thing.

You could calculate the distance by measuring the time between the cannon firing and the rounds hitting. (you don't need sound, you can tell by the little wobble in the picture when it fires.) You'll need to count the frames between when the wobble starts and first round hits.

In fact they were pretty far with a high speed traverse angle. Rockets are SNEB 68mm multi dart, they dont need to hit precisely the target.

The astan footage showed gun and rocket fire from 2000 m and beyond.
Here it looks to be quite the same range meaning long range for a gun and non guided rockets (see the level of magnification of the FLIR and the size of the houses and bunkers)
Anyway this is not very important for the rockets which are area effect Apers ammos

But the sooner we get Hellfires, the better

Without more information, we can only guess ... There was some explosions (Gazelle's HOT ?) and then the Tiger seemed to spray the whole zone. It seems there are some guys running.

    From article

"The targets struck included military vehicles, military equipment and fielded forces," the statement said, without giving details of the location of the strikes.
Seems like infantrymen, IFVs, technicians and probably some CnC centers.

The gate across the road at the beginning of the video is just some kms east of Mersa el-Brega. The landscape shown through the video - the flattish hills, are closer to Mersa el-Brega than to Agedabia.
