First off RT is not the best news source since it has a whole pro Assad slant.

I know: don't feed the troll, etc. But you are saying the ones that have 240mm mortars shot at them by Syrian Army 2S4 Tyulpan are the butchers?

Yea RT unacceptable because it's pro-Assad, while Al Jazeera is loved because they are pro Sunni Islamists.

I agree both sides RT and Jazeera have been posting some stuff that cant be confirmed but when the reporters where in Homs reporting there was a very clear picture that the government was using unusually heavy force on civilian population centers and indiscriminate shelling. One thing is at least with the reports coming on Jazeera there are number of sources that back most of them up. but some of the stories on RT are coming from the Syrian government press offices or from someone in Damascus that says they have heard from someone that heard from someone in Homs that terrorist are randomly killing people..

^^^^ what I mean we have the advantage to see many sources. Do not stick to one and ignore the rest. I read somewhere that 17 rebels were captured and beheaded. I checked the referenced source and there was none of it.

There are some facts which have been proven that is the army is using heavy artillery on Homs. Targeted or indiscriminate that is another issue.

Al Qaida militants fighting in oppositionist ranks in Syria
MOSCOW, March 1 (Itar-Tass) – It is an open secret for Russia that Al Qaida militants are among those who are fighting on the side of the Syrian opposition, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said Thursday in a comment on earlier remarks by the U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
“It’s no secret at all that the West rejects our steps, or else they are blocked by the irreconcilable Syrian opposition, to say nothing of the armed units, in the ranks of which Al Qaida militants and other extremists are fighting with the government forces,” he said.
“The longer the opposition is enticed to reject a dialogue with the Syrian regime and to continue armed struggle, the more the peaceful civilians will be suffering,” Lukashevich said.
“It’s the intransigence of armed units in Homs that doesn’t make it possible to evacuate foreign correspondents from there, although all the necessary measures for this have been coordinated by the Syrian authorities and the International Red Cross with Russia’s assistance,” he said.

I don't trust it, cause he portraits an exclusively positive image of the situation. Maybe it's a bluff, making the rebels seem stronger than they are, and the government army weaker (3/4 of there weapons don't work?!). What the analysts are doing is searching these kind of videos for "micro expressions" to tell if he's lying, but then you need to step through it frame by frame and you can't do that on youtube.
