The top official said Iraqi border guards had witnessed the Free Syrian Army take control of a border outpost, detain a Syrian army lieutenant colonel, and then cut off his arms and legs.
"Then they executed 22 Syrian soldiers in front of the eyes of Iraqi soldiers."
The account of the killings could not be independently verified.
Somehow AJE left that part out.

At this point blocking UN resolutions will only hasten Assad's demise.

If Assad stays or goes, regardless, it's going to be a bloodbath with lots of security and refugee issues for the surrounding states. I don't even want to consider the ramifications of Haji getting his hands on BW\CW weapons but that's the reality here.

It means just that. Else they wouldn't mention it at all.

Don't be surprised. FSA are former Syrian army soldiers. Their moral and legal education (as soldiers) was made within the Syrian armed forces. There's no reason for them to behave differently.
Ask Israeli POWs, ask Lebaneses how brutal is the Syrian army.

Nice spin right there, lol. So, since it seems that the FSA is just as ****ed up as Assad, its still Assad and Syria's Army fault...

Sure. They changed but they behave as they were educated.
USSR experts who modeled this army's officers in the mitary accademies should have thought them few chapters of Geneva convention.
