Revert to post 3745. And again the backflip to morality...I guess you could not grasp the reality of an insurgency even if it was explained to you on immersion mode.

I get it's an insurgency, and in the process a bunch of innocent people are getting killed. What I don't get is what the Syrian Army shooting up a protest has to do with Fallujah.

The same it had then civillians that are siding with the insurgency and threatening a perimeter are dealt with accordingly unless you want a Kabul bis.

I've noticed that there are a lot less desertion videos now than during the previous few months. Wonder if this means that the opposition can't rely on defections anymore to replenish their losses and keep the momentum going against the superior Syrian military. Seems that the window for defection is still slightly open but closing fast with those most likely to defect already having done so and mounting casualties on the Syrian army side hardening the soldiers resolve to fight against the opposition because they are getting targeted.

The fact that both the Islamists and the despots hate our guts is quite a compliment if you ask me.

I myself wish the best of luck to both sides.

I don't mind the rebels killing the Syrian soldiers and vice versa but when the civilians are killed or POWs are tortured I don't like it at all.
Other than that, they can go at it for ever.

    That goes without saying.

Trying to prevent Arabs from killing our civilians is enough work as it is... let alone preventing them from doing so to each other.

Nothing has stop. The cease fire broke a few hours after it was in place. Towns are being shelled by Syrian forces and the FSA is fighting back. Annan's peace plan is a facade.

Obama hinted in Camp David that Assad could go away like Saleh. Mostly it's a hint to the opposition. At least something more close to reality.

Assad refused anything like it 6 months ago when AL proposed plan similiar to that in Yemen (resignation of president in exchange for full immunity, vice-president appointed as head of state during transition period during government of national unity). So itīs just probably political BS.
