They are good people. But only time will tell if they can take over their own country.
The western world is taking a big gamble. But if it works we will have a very close ally in the region.
But if it doesn't? I don't even want to go there.

From the news images it sure looked pretty destroyed.. allthough people seemed to be walking around on a weapon without a care in the world.

We were similarily welcomed in Baghdad April, 2003
Probably this time will be different 'cos no ground troops and we're more like guests.

lol not at all, But it is what it is and some rebels risked their life to save an american crew member so its a good stroy to read rather then all the scare tactics that they would hang a westerner the 1st chance they got.

This and the fact that just before the start of all this stuff the rebels were having massive "we support the USA" parades. Oh and too bad we didn't help a few in Rwanda, oh no oil spiggot there, sorry.

I certainly do hope it all works out, would be nice with a friendly country in that part of the world. Only time will tell

Im glad they made it out safely. Also glad to see that the rebels will help out downed pilots.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the strafing. You can't have a bunch of rebels trying to hitch a ride out of libya.
