The Franco German Euromissile Roland is like the SA-8 a command link guided point defence SAM system, with a TELAR mounting a complete acquisition and fire control radar system. Like the SA-8 the Roland also uses monopulse angular tracking techniques to defeat jamming. Iraqi systems used the French built AMX-30 chassis. I wonder how many air defense units in western Europe will be disbanded because of financial crisis and how much of equipment will they sell or scrap. Maybe east European members of NATO could buy some of that equipment if they are financially able to buy.

Missiles tend to have a shelf-life of 20-30 years. There hasn't been that many new GBAD acquisitions in Western Europe since early 1990's. So, there isn't much new-ish stuff for sale and there's no point purchasing old stuff. Some Patriot units might be up for sale, though, and they can be updated to MIM-104 D/F configuration.
