They will be not stopped right now, but after current orders and new contracts in the near term will be completed, production lines will likely close.

As of this, it is just another ploy of many others. For example, earlier it was said:
"Domestic and export orders cannot be fullfield at current rates, we need to build two additional production facilities..." after funding for that was provided, now: "our production rates are beyond our capabilities, we need more orders..."

    you see.

Don't believe the "WOE IS ME" nonsense coming from Almaz-Antey.

Russian government already gave Almaz-Antey 4.5 billion rubles ($155 mln) to build two new factories in Nizhny Novgorod and Kirov to service the domestic S-400 order.

Their inability to secure new foreign orders is not the problem of Russian government, if A-A sucks at business.

It is caused by the Russian government, at least partially. Sanctions against Iran, Syria, and now the mess with Libya which would also purchase the S-300PMU-2.

I heard Osama bin Laden also had problems buying from Rosoboronexport! Wasted business opportunity!

PS: There are no arms sanctions against Syria.

As I know Almaz-Antey still produce S-400, Buk-M2 and Tor-M1/2, so they could still export Buks and Tors. I think stopping production of S-300 could have correlations with starting production of Vityaz and Morphei to replace older S-300. Maybe they need to retool production line for them and this could be a year or two to do retooling.

They are also making naval systems (Redut, Shtil, Rif-M, Gibka) and radar systems (Bars, Irbis, N036, Kasta, Nebo, Podlet) and cruise missiles (Club, 3M14, 3M54) and the new generation ABM (A-235).

So don't take their bitchin' as the end of the world. Almaz-Antey is the biggest Russian defense company by sales volume. They'll be fine.

It's just that the Russian military industry took up the habit to whine loudly when anything isn't exactly as they want it. Sometimes it's justified, but often it's just that -- whining, or an attempt to wriggle out some more funding from the state.

Correction - it can hit targets maneuvering at 8g, (R-33(AA-9) could hit only 4g targets)

I think it would be effective against cruise missile and bombers , aircraft might evade it by manouvering it harder like 9g ?

Well, logically, it has to be able to maneuver at 8 g to be able to hit targets maneuvering at 8 g, so I wasn't wrong. 8)

Well not really , the missile actually maneuver or sustains 3 -4 x times the G of the target , So RVV-BD would sustain 24-48G if it has to hit the target manouvering at 8G
